It's when I started to realize that my thoughts were creating my reality that I drastically changed my thoughts. I became empower by using positive thoughts and expecting situations to turn in my favor. As I created more and more self love, it started to reflect into my reality. People suddenly became nicer, situations also turned out better. Accept who you are as of right now and begin to love yourself unconditionally and watch the beautiful miracles appear in your reality, much love, namaste.😇🙏

@@tom53702 there IS hope for YOU, me, all of us. Everything that mankind know of is made from energy. Therefore we are the same and all connected. Therfore not alone either. Your stronger than you think and know. But you must believe in yourself. Its not easy but not impossible. Every time you have a negative thought. Correct that thought by thinking of something positive to replace it with. Once you get into that habit youll start to notice that your not having negative thoughts as often. As your mind gets stronger in positive thoughts, it will transfer to whats around you. It has helped me tremendously. I have had to start this over before but i dont give up because the changes that happen are worth it. I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.☮️

    Dr. Tracey,
There must be something or someone looking after me, because I found you today, without looking for it. I've watch 2 of your videos and you have nailed me in both. I need to be in contact with a great therapist, but economically it is counterproductive for me. I'm so thankful that along with your definitions of various
subjects, you also and most importantly for me, you offer some solutions. My lack of trust in myself and the accompanying self hatred has me with 3 college degress, living in my car, in a God forsaken state of the Union, at the tender age of 53 just to give you an example.
So to coincidence, destiny or divine intervention. I want to thank whatever brought me to you.
From the bottom of my heart,THANK YOU, THANK YOU. THANK YOU! It is a great thing you're doing here. Between you, The School of Life channel, all the books I read, and self awareness, I might find out some day, who am I beyond name and form?
Thank you for doing this, please don't stop. I need someone to help me from my self sabotaging ways.

My therapist told me that changes rarely come overnight. That's what I was expecting. I wanted to change as soon as I decided that I needed to change. That might happen for some, but for me, for some things, especially survival stuff I've been doing for 40 yrs, it might also take some work. ✌️✌️✌️

    Dr. Tracey Marks,
At sixty-six I've been working on me since in my twenties. Seen many therapists, spent hours talking with and to others as well as myself. It is a slow dynamic welcome process. Recently, a debilitating trauma left me destroyed emotionally. I screamed, cried, prayed and cloistered myself with the timing of Covid. That is when I found your words, definitions and encouragement.
Absolutely love your hair by the way and wished I had your glowing skin. Oops, stepping over lines.
Regardless, finding your videos I've watched at least fifty of them it seems and each one, I find something new to consider, something new to incorporate into my journey. You, your approach and delivery are my "go to" for solid information that fits my needs. I praise my higher power for placing you in my path. Not everyday ergo, I like when you join my walk, your words, cadence and delivery sooth my questions and further my search for understanding of myself and the world around me. If I were ever to cross your path directly, I'd hope an opportunity to give you my smile as a thank you for helping my soul.
    Loves, Don

The use of thought records is a well known strategy in mental health therapy. Getting the thoughts down on paper really helps me recognize which automatic thought I am having and why it is untrue, or distorted. I like this approach because it's a step by step way of helping myself or "doing the work" required to start feeling better. Even starting small and working up is useful, but "doing the work" is essential. It's another example of why it's not only about meds. Thanks Dr. Marks, for making this available to people in such an accessible way!

My take away is it takes less time to do an action that reassures myself. So if I feel like x is disappearing than work on x.i feel like I do this cognitive exercise, but the judge in my head empathizes with both sides. It's maddening. Time to take action. Plain and simple.

After years of being haunted by negative thoughts, I started to dissecting them. I figured out who was saying those thoughts in my mind? For me it was a very dysfunctional mother. How loud was the thought? Which ear was 'hearing' it or, was it coming from my mind/head? I did this to figure out how to stop it. I did a lot of silent 'leave me alone!' thoughts when these obtrusive thoughts popped up. I have been successful in eliminating the mean mother and the disapproving father voices. I worked on moving to make the voices my own voice. And, I know I can control/change my own voice. I tell it that it's a liar and I know better. I imagine it as a whiny voice and laugh at that. But, I have to do it every day. Negative thinking is a bad habit. It's a battle all the time. I just chose to be on the winning side.

Maiynnai, Heal yourself from negative thoughts. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes or more. Let thoughts come. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. If you want to be guided in the above meditataion watch the following video on you tube "Anapana medtation for all in English 10 minutes" practiced all around the world. Listen with headphones. . Do the above meditation daily to have a relaxed life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

I know this is old, but would you consider doing a follow up to this video in which you give an example for the entire process. Such as the thought “my husband is being secretive” or “I’m going to be left alone with no way to support myself and my children” or something like that, so we could see exactly how to follow this from beginning to end? Because I am not great at learning by listening only. I would love this! But I know you are very busy so it is just an idea. Thank you for all you are doing.

My mental health has been horrible since my marriage went bad 4 years ago, I've basically been depressed and given up on everything for those 4 years now. I have no job, no insurance and nobody even really knows how horrible my mental health has been, even my family, they just think I don't want to work. I can't even function as a normal person anymore. I'm too ashamed to explain how I feel to anybody. Don't know what to do anymore. I don't think I could attempt suicide but I often have thoughts of it. I'm lost and need help but nowhere to get it, not sure if anything can even help me at this point.

I've been doing a little personal version of this for a while now. Before I knew that bipolar was what I had, it really helped when really crazy thoughts were popping in and I didn't feel like I had any control. It really, really helps.
