    I've had this a week, and all he said is true. Learning so it's great for me. Most top speed you get is 65mph, but gets you there nicely. For me it's a pleasure to ride while I save for my full licence.

    Got mine a week ago,white one looks so beautiful,it is my first bike ever,first time I ride a bike on my CBT test,this was the second time when I got mine white cb125f.Done 109 miles now,spend some hours on the big car part late evening,practicing U-turns,small 8,very slow riding,straight and circle.Very happy with this bike,very easy to maneuver,great on fuel,fast enough for new rider's.Don't know top speed yet,,I been told to do about 400 miles on low rpm,I am not going over 5k rpm,changing gears at 3.5-4k, red line at 9 and 10 k. By the way I am 191cm tall,longest ride was 2 hours non stop,felt very comfortable and not tired.I recommend this bike,worth the money. P.S sorry for bad English....UPDATE: 1300 miles on the clock,bike is great!Last week went to London,270 miles from my home to the destination.Took me 6.5 hours without stoping,very comfortable bike, last two hours start hurt my butt.Used full tank of fuel. First service (600 miles) cost me 100£ in Honda dealership.

      +El Cardoso (HoneyBear) CBT,it is easy test,just to show that you can ride a bike on the road (Don't have to be perfect,not even close to that).CBT certificate lasts for 2 year,if you don't pass your full bike licence within 2 year,you have to retake CBT again.17 year old with CBT certificate can ride a bike up to 125cc or up to 15 horse power,with L plates,not allowed on the motorway and without passenger.Theory test is a bit different for motorbike,50 questions,7 mistakes maximum.Theory test certificate for 2 year only,if you don't pass full bike licence,you have to retake Theory test again.I am not sure about bike licence for younger then 24 year old riders,there is some categories as well,with power restrictions,A2 or something like that.I am doing Direct Access,have to be 24+ year old,if I will pass it I can ride any bike without restrictions.You are young,without car licence,you have to read a Highway codex before you will go on the road,when you will do your CBT they may ask you some basic questions about road rules.But you have to spend some hours reading it,just for your safety and other road users :) If you want to ride this bike,you have to be 17 year old,so you could wait 4 months and do your CBT and get a bike.If you do CBT now,and then will make a long break,you will forget how to ride ;) And wont be as confident as you would be straight after you CBT training. P.S Sorry for my bad English,not a native speaker.

      +El Cardoso (HoneyBear) I did my CBT,after 1 months I bought cb125f,was riding it for 3 months ( still riding it).2 Week ago I passed Theory test,today I had first practice day on the big bike,tomorrow will be another practice day and after tomorrow I will do Module 1 test,if I will pass it, on 6th of October I will do Module 2 test,if I will pass it as well,then I can ride any bike without any restrictions.No I did only CBT,on CBT day it was my first time on the bike.

    Have owned the cbf125 and cb125f. I 100% think that the older cbf125 is a better all rounder. The newer version red lines wayyyyy sooner so it’s not great. Where the cb125f wins is that it definitely vibrates less and the foot pegs are definitely in a more comfortable position, so you experience less discomfort on longer rides.

      It's a Honda, so they wouldn't allow Chinese materials since Honda pride themselves on quality and reliability. They just relocated building it from India to China with exactly the same standards. Honda has too much to lose otherwise and I doubt they would risk that.

    I personally own a CBF 125, crashed it because a women pulled out infront of me. My insurance gave me a CB125F as a higher bike and i've had it for about 2 months. First thing I want to make clear is that i like my CBF more over the CB. First problem with the CB is that the gears are stupidly short and its a 125cc. 1st gear takes me to 17mph, 2nd to 32 mph, 3rd to 40-45mph. I've hit 80mph on it, level surface on the A3, but i doubt many other people are gonna reach 80, because the bike was touching the rev limiter every 6 seconds xD. With my CBF, i put a '15 CBR 125 front sprocket with 2 extra teeth on it. 1st got me to 28mph and 2nd got me to 40-45mph. I just feel safer overtaking with the larger sprocket. Honestly i didn't feel like the bike was slower at accelerating or anything, it would just bog down easier if you didn't use the clutch well enough while launching. If you are thinking about getting a CB125f, i would recommend putting a front sprocket with 1 or 2 extra teeth, but you really dont have to. Its nice and easy to ride and learn on, has a gear indicator (which i think should be standard on a 125 because you're constantly changing gear, you're bound to forget what gear you are in if your still learning). If you are dead set on getting the CB125f go for it, but i will always recommend a CBF125 because there's plenty for cheap on the second hand market (got my white one for £1200 with no marks and 5000 miles on it), it's super reliable, i've come off mine like 5 times, 3 in the wet and twice i looped it and i've never had a problem with the engine. Lastly the CB125f seat and rear suspension is no where near as good as my CBFs, and my mates have also complained about the grab handle on it, terrible shape for holding on as a pillion. Time for me to get a A2 bike next!

      Hey man, thanks for this info, i had no clue of the differences between the cbf 125 and the cb 125f, still i prefer the style of the old one, seems bigger and more unique. I think i will buy the old model, I found one that has 10.000km on, maybe i buy that one and save 900 dollars instead of buying a new one.

      @767nutter 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      james craig unless you are going to commute it only a few miles and not have the need to get it upto speed very often, i would recommend going down the second hand route, because you say 55mph is enough for you, i thought the same when i got my 2012 honda cbf 125 2 months ago, but now it feels really slow (i do a 36 mile round trip on my work commute on B roads), i still love it though, however the depreciation on new 125's can be horrendous, buying my bike second hand means i can sell it for nearly the same amount i brought it for and then use that for a deposit on a bigger bike when i do the direct access,
      Also i wanted a brand new bike at first but my colleagues who have been riding for years are the ones that recommended buying second hand, so thats my advice to you

      For a 125cc 4 stroke a drum should be adequate, which is probably how they see it, especially since its even slower than the last model. However, I agree it is a bit old hat & there should be discs all round these days. Made in / contracted out to China they could've done it for not much cost. I can't really see how drum brakes are less to produce these days anyway.

    • @no-damn-alias
      @no-damn-alias 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Ashley McGovern well I like the drum in the back. you have to think more technical and not prestigly. a drum in the back is good because. it better fits you already have the drum form there so why not use it. then the backwheel is always very dirty because of the frontwheel and disc brakes espacially the calipers don't like dirt they won't move as easily and won't open up the brake after some time so more maintance required. also a disc brake is more expensive although for a Honda this is not the most important and in my opinion a drum on the rear wheel fits better by looks and it is enough. but the most important 125cc are most about reliability and as little maintance as possible so therefore there is a drum brake

    Had this as a courtesy bike whilst my cbf125 was being fixed. Cheaper feel, less torque, any incline and it just can't hold any speed above 50mph. Top speed barely 60mph. indicator dash light is at bottom of dash so difficult to see if you've left it indicators on. the older cbf125 is easier to see as it's at the top of the dash.
    it's seat is nasty after 15 miles as it has an angular edge to it causing rider discomfort. the seat is one piece and looks cheap compared to the cbf125's 2 piece seat with stitching around its edge.
    tires are unbranded, only thing on them is 'CST', OK in dry but damp or wet roads has this new bike weaving like it tires are flat. scary. in direct comparison when I collected my cbf125 from the dealer the same road conditions with continental conti go tires they were stable and grippy.
    the new cb125f is a let down and a worse bike than the previous cbf125. I had 4 days total on the new cb125f covering nearly 200 miles and was very happy to hand it back to the dealer and collect my cbf125.

      urbanfireblade I agree with you.
      I owned the cb125f first and I was constantly red lining it to get anywhere as I live in the countryside. I now ride the cbf125 and it’s much happier at 60 mph than the cb125f ever was. Parts are easier and cheaper to get too as the model has been out for so long. Overall the cb125f was a disappointment to own and I think Honda should seriously consider bringing back the cbf125.

      @@Labgorilla Hi, it's been a few years since we both had the CBF125, what bikes are you riding now? I traded the CBF125 and my 1200 Suzuki Bandit at the same time for a new Kawasaki ER6N 650, got bored quick, so sold it to buy a Honda Grom 125, on to a Triumph Street Triple R, then a Yamaha MT125, and now a Ducati Monster 696. I do miss the fun you can have on 125's so thinking of selling my Ducati to buy the new 2022 CB125F, or i may go back to an older CBF125 again as there's very little in it compared to new 125's. How about you?

    I don't see the point in having to shift gears with that kind of horsepower.. A motorscooter would be way more easy to drive with 9/10 Kw.

      +vitalij lavinskij Because an 1000cc plus will eat just as much fuel as a small car. Many people get a 125cc as well as their bikes for daily commuting to work / college / about town. Even if I put 3 days bus fair (about £6) in my 125's fuel tank it lasts me 3 weeks + for the same journey. In a car it lasts a few days. It's cheaper than even the bus / train, £17 yr tax. Cheap insurance, does the speed limits people have cottoned on.

    2019 plate 2200 miles on a clock full with rust … Chinese materials …. the same quality as Lexmoto … good on petrol ….

      It's a Honda, so they wouldn't allow Chinese materials since Honda pride themselves on quality and reliability. They just relocated building it from India to China with exactly the same standards. Honda has too much to lose otherwise and I doubt they would risk that.

    Stock exhaust still sounds like a bag of shite, i'd still sooner have my cbf125 any day, takes a lot of shit and easily copes with it, got a danmoto exhaust and i actually get noticed and people give me more space to filter now.
