    Enjoyed your video. I have same bike & same colour as well. Greetings from Melbourne, down under. The Honda CB125F is indeed a fun bike, and soooo forgiving too. I am 77 yo - been a long time since I owned a motorcycle. The CB125F fits like a glove, perfect for around town on quiet streets. Bought mine last Nov. Has done 650 kms so far, did an oil & filter change last w/end, bit early I guess.
    Am same height as you. 5'5" in my case - I'm 5'5" at 12 noon. Takes me that long to straighten up !

    You look very confident and it’s great that you are enjoying your bike.
    I had previous generation of this bike, which I bought to back in to riding after a very long layoff, and I agree it is the perfect bike to re-gain confidence. I replaced it with a Kawasaki z400 (it been replaced by Kawasaki with a z500 this year) which is another fantastic bike and is also very forgiving. The Z400 and the Z650 have quite low seat hights so would be worth checking out after you pass your test. Saying that there is no rush just enjoy riding the 125, they are great fun.

      I recently turned my eco light back on Nick, since I'm not commuting in the dark anymore. It was really distracting for me visually. I felt like an official TH-camr with a camera light in front of me 😂
      I never did get round to the tops of the indicators but nearly a couple of times.

    I’m glad to see you enjoying the cb125f mate.
    I’ve got the same model and colour and had it for 4 months now and I’m also loving it.
    I’m going on a 3 day road trip to the coast soon so will be covering a few hundred miles, already done 1500 on it so far with going to work and stuff.
    The big bikers sometimes give this bike a hard time but like you said, it’s the perfect starter bike.
    Ride sss as fe and look forward to your future video’s.

      i like a full day out on mine and regularly do 200 miles a day (245 is the most) mainly in the lanes. I love to make an early start (around 6.30am) when it's quieter, and am home mid-afternoon. you see much more and get much less stress when taking it easy. when i come across other bikers in cafe's, i guess i've been lucky coz no-one seems to care what you ride, and even it they did i'd just laugh and think my dicks big enough not to worry what you think m8 :) GL with the trip

    i've had mine (2021 reg) for 18months and just put it up for sale today because i passed my test last year, bought a new bike and have no-where to keep both, although i would if i could as i love it so much, and have done over 10k miles on day trips and touring (i dont commute). it's nippy enough, comfy enough with my home made airbag seat fitted, super reliable, and cheap to maintain and insure, and the sad bstard i am i logged every fill up and mile travelled over the 10k as i thought the claimed 180mpg sounded ridiculous (and it is). my average mpg over all that time riding at varoius speeds and terrain, sometimes pinning it, sometimes not is a true calculated 134mpg which is fantastic, so take no notice of the inbuilt mpg meter, it's usually well out, but if you take it easy you can get about 150mpg no problem. one trip last year was 1500 miles in 7.5 days around scotland including the nc500, no problem, and i wouldnt have enjoyed it any more than i did on a bigger bike. to anyone thinking of getting one i'd say you won't regret it, it's a fun machine. I always found that mine was happiest at about 50mph. She did 60, and even 70 going downhill (I do NOT recommend doing that before 1000 miles), but at 50mph evetything felt better. From having some available power to keeping vibrations down. That last one is quite important on a longer trip, otherwise after about an hour you get numb bum.

    • @Bob-ts2tu
      @Bob-ts2tu 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, so true, it's in the comfort zone 50-55. i don't pin it too much but you have to see some times don't ya lol, and the best i got was 64mph, but i am a bit of a bloater at 6' and 19st and have a stiff back so cant bend down too much :). To me it's quite miraculous that a piston the size of a lemon and a gallon of juice can propel you at that speed for well over 100 miles anyway. GL

      @233kosta 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Bob-ts2tu How many miles on the clock? If you take it easy-ish for the first 300, then gradually open her up by 600, everything beds in nicely. 1500 miles in, mine felt much better than on day 1. She wouldn't do 70 on a flat road, but she was getting up there.
      I've got the sneaking suspicion that this little engine keeps gradually loosening up for maybe the first 5000-10000 miles, and then you get peak power.

    • @Bob-ts2tu

      @@233kosta can't remember exactly the first time but was about 2k miles, but the last time was recently at about 9k miles. You are spot on with the comment about the engine getting better, mine has just done 10k now and is running sweeter than ever, it burns no oil and the mpg hasn't changed. sadly im selling it shortly as i passed my test and bought a bigger machine. id keep it if i could but don't have the space. I was going to get a cb500f, but for the extra money, you get so much more with the various modes and options, as well as negotiating a free sports pack, delivery and 1/2 price first service. every review raves about it's nimbleness, and i hope it's a bike i can be comfortable with for a good few years and develop as a rider, plus get the extra buzz of the accelleration if the fancy takes me, but i'm not really a speedster so won't be nailing it everywhere lol. roll on 1st march !!. to give you an idea, im early 60's, full clean car licence, bike CBT only, bike stored in a locked garage, first years insurance with no bike NCD was about £145 fully comp if i remember in aug 2022. when i passed my full A licence test in nov 23 it was similar but they gave me £36 back for passing, so cheap as chips. to compare with a bigger bike, i just bought a brand new cb750 hornet for delivery 1st march, and with 1 years NCD, it's about £785, so quite a jump, but wtf you can't take it with you lol !!.
