Today on spruce tree garage we get this 1978 Lincoln Continental town car running after setting in a junkyard for 15 years #automobile #classic #showcar #Lincoln #revival #junkyard
They are actually really good motors they just fell victim to the 70s smog they last a long time but low compression and catalytic converters killed them
those cars are silent and smooth. The wiper switch has OFF in the middle. To the left is for intermittent wiper, to the right is for low or high speed continuous.
That vehicle is worth saving. The Velour interior just needs to be cleaned and the exterior issues addressed and that would make a nice old car.
It’s going to I got some other things going on first but it will come out soon
Lincoln offered an extended range gas tank in addition to the standard tank as an option thru this era. The fuel gauge reminded me of that factoid.
If built correctly that 400M could make a lot of power 😮

Mine broke pushrods like crazy. When it finally locked up, I tore it down and the intake valley was full of them
If these are serviced regularly these should last for ever. Love the Lincoln Towncars from the 1st year build to the last one made.
