That inner coating is the one BIG problem with these. It peels off. It's like teflon. It only lasts so long. And you end up drinking some of it. Also, it holds odors. Just plain stainless steel is better. But, no one can beat Zojirushi insulation capabilities. Plus, it has a 5 yr. warranty.
