In between the two glass layers is a an aluminum or copper foil. The space between the layers is where the vacuum is and is completely sealed so it will not come into contact with your beverage. Hope this helps!
Hi Shaahul, the silver in the center of the two glass layers is made of aluminum or copper. After manufacture it becomes a solid, and so it will not leak if the glass is broken. I hope this helps!
