  • A Fellowship of People: Recovery and Gender Roles with Marya Hornbacher, award-winning journalist and best-selling author.
This week’s #MentalHealthMonday features Marya Hornbacher’s insightful and engaging look at the many ways gender and recovery intersect. Marya will discuss the influence of our own conscious and unconscious assumptions about gender roles on our behaviours and beliefs in recovery. We will also look at how we can detach from unhealthy dynamics without losing access to the valuable insights and fellowship the recovery community can provide. Lastly, Marya’s presentation explores the ways in which we can make recovery more accessible to newcomers and move toward a more equitable recovery for all.

truly good authors are not going to have many likes. "Likes" are based on a mass mentality ...herds of sheep that are not of high intelligence.

Incredibly interesting! The words that I choose to use, in any setting that is trying to impart their, "this is the only way, you will get better type stuff, simply anywhere, is: Always Question the Process! People look at me like I am a nut job, but what makes them right and me wrong! So glad someone sent me one of your reels! Keep teaching, keep questioning the process. I love to stop people in their tracks!
