An Introduction to Seepage Cutoff Walls

This educational video introduces the audience to an important component of drop structures, a component called the seepage cutoff wall. Seepage is the most common source of failure for drop structures, leading to expensive repairs we'd like to avoid. This video introduces the audience to the general purpose and function of cutoff walls, and touches briefly on things to look for in the field as cutoff walls are getting constructed. Future videos will get into more specific detail for construction of sheet pile and grout cutoff walls, respectively.
