1973 998 CLASSIC MINI Country Lanes & Highway | 4K POV DRIVE in 2023

STEERING WHEEL POV video driving the CLASSIC MINI 850 in the sunny countryside and on the HIGHWAY towards the end of the recording.
The car is a MINI 850 DE LUXE built (and not just assembled) by Leyland-AUTHI in Navarre (Spain) in 1973.
The car has received minor upgrades and a rev counter for the dash but it is mainly in factory original condition.
Still running with drum brakes all around. With the assistance of a servo and a pressure retaining valve they are perfect for this car as long as they are properly bleeded and adjusted. as you can see I am not a slow driver...

Hay que reconocer que toda esa zona invita al paseo en coche, y muy a pesar de los ciclistas que son un peligro para ellos y para los coches por las situaciones de adelantamiento que crean

Las normativas de la DGT no ayudan precisamente a evitar accidentes cuando se permite a los ciclistas taponar carriles enteros haciendo un pelotón y parando todo el tráfico! Yo puedo comprender que no pueden prohibir que un señor con su bici vaya por la carretera (por mucha curva que tenga) pero los grupos de ciclistas en plan Tour de Francia deberian estar totalmente prohibidos! Aunque solo fuese por la seguridad y las vidas que se lleva por delante, porque con otras cosas en cambio nos obligan a cosas ridiculas como poner a los niños en alzadores y cosas parecidas. Si a mi me obligan a ponerme en mi propio coche un cinturon de seguridad no se porque se permite a los ciclistas exponerse asi a ser arrollados por un coche que se los encuentra de golpe! Es todo absurdo.....

Is this one of those Spanish 1275 C or CC model? There is an odd rattling sound inside don't you think?

I'm afraid this is a much more standard Mini with a 998 cc engine Today. The 1275 C had it's own wooden dashboard and steering wheel which you can see here th-cam.com/video/TbnzkdRR5KM/w-d-xo.html Indeed, the rattling sound was due to the lack of a rubber around the heater matrix which has already been solved.
