4/29/24 Captiva Ospreys: Bald eagle steals fish from osprey nest! The babies were not harmed.

The osprey dad, Jack, was off fishing, when the mom, Edie, hurriedly left the nest to go after an intruder. Connie, the bald eagle from a neighboring nest, took advantage of the nest being unguarded, and she swooped down to steal the fish off the osprey nest. Fortunately, the little osprey hatchlings were not injured.
In segment two of the video (1:21), the eagle attack is replayed in slow motion. And, the final segment (1:39) shows part of a feeding for the little osprey babies that took place shortly after the eagle attack, to show that they had not been harmed.
This is an osprey nest on Captiva Island, Florida.
