    Chase seems to be changing their welcome bonuses pretty frequently, so like you said in Tip #1, it's definitely going to be worthwhile to try to optimize this. For instance, if you spend a lot of money on Gas, then it'll be good to lock in that bonus on the Freedom Cards! Referral bonuses can also give you a ton of points, and it's definitely something I try to maximize if I have some friends who are interested in getting cards that I already have. The downgrade options with Chase is definitely a huge +, and makes the CSP or CSR even more valuable. Great video as always Daniel!

    Downgrading to the "Chase Freedom with Ultimate Rewards" allows to downgrade to the original freedom card (before unlimited and flex) and I know for that card, you are allowed to hold multiple of.

  • @SpencerJohnsonOfficial

    Tip #4 is a really solid one that people need to consider doing more of! Being able to get back in line for those welcome bonuses on your Chase cards is a no brainer as long as you plan on being under 5/24 (which is hard to do sometimes haha). Thanks for all the tips Daniel! These are really helpful for us Chase lovers out there.

      Hi Spencer. I am a college student and planning to get new credit cards. I was thinking to get Fidelity 2%, Citi Custom Cash, Capitol one x, and Savor. I like capitol one, and I have my retirement/brokerage accounts at fidelity. Venture x is a great travel card and like the savor as a good everyday card with no Manuel fee. What do you think of this setup?

    • @SpencerJohnsonOfficial
      @SpencerJohnsonOfficial 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jes1919 I think that’s a really solid setup! Getting 2x back with your fidelity card on every purchase is a solid backbone for your setup, and then having the Cap1 Venture X as your travel card, the Citi Custom Cash for a flexible 5x card (probably for gas) and the Savor one for all other purchases is really solid! Do keep in mind that the Venture X gets you 2x back on every purchase so technically you may not need the fidelity card unless you’d like that cash back in your brokerage account instead of having the option to use it for travel. Overall you got a great idea though and I like what you got going on!

    The chase trifecta is my next goal in terms of CCs. I only have two CCs at the moment, with the oldest one being 6 months old. What do you recommend to do to improve my chances on getting approved one?

    • @MalakiDaniel
      @MalakiDaniel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know i aint Daniel but i just got into the chase trifecta this year, just a month ago completing it with the Reserve (that fee is heftyyy😂) but idk when your trying to get a credit card but the more age you have on your portfolio the better, i see you said 6 months is your oldest account so id say to wait for another 6 months if you want because the older the better imo. Definitely go for the Flex or Unlimited first (Unlimited was my first, the Flex 5% categories are gonna be Walmart and Paypal for Oct-Dec if you get the flex instead) when you apply for the card, if you happen to live with anyone that works, you can put their income in along with yours in your Gross Annual Income to help get a better chance at getting a higher limit which is what I did. Get those easy signup bonuses with those two cards, pay in full and on time every month and you’ll have good standing with Chase to then give you a really good chance at getting instantly approved for either the Preferred or Reserve, whichever one suits you more. As long as your credit is in good standing overall you should have no problem getting into the Chase Ecosystem like I did, I’m telling you its so worth getting the trifecta

    Hey I currently have 1 credit card I have a credit score in the low 700s and want to get the chase trifecta. I'm looking at the flex and the unlimited. I'm wondering if I should go for the ink business unlimited to get the 90k bonus points ( I'm going to need to buy a car soon and plan to use it for a down payment) and use the flex to cover the dining and drug store purchases instead of having 2 cards that give the same bonuses and then get the sapphire preferred to complete the trifecta. Please let me know what you think and if there is any down side to this plan.

But let say 48 months have past after downgrading the csp and there is a new CSP sign up bonus, what would a good move be at that point? Would it be to upgrade the OG freedom card for the csp or apply just apply? and play the game all over🔄? Thanks just wondering 😅
