Joan Rivers on Today (5/22/14)

The Rivers talk about their reality TV show "Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?" and living together, with Melissa complaining about their lack of space. They also discuss their bucket list, with Joan jokingly saying she wants to make a porn tape. The hosts promote their show, which airs on Saturday nights on WE TV, and mention a charity magic act they did together.
During the interview, Joan makes a controversial joke which was exacerbated by The Today Show saying it did not condone Rivers' statements. Then in the press (if you can call TMZ that), Joan told TMZ that Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry should not complain: "They got to live rent free for more than a decade . . . One of them has a book deal. Neither are in a psych ward. They're OK. I bet you within three years one of them will be on Dancing with the Stars." In response to them not having sense of humor, she said, "The TV the guy gave them must not have had SNL.''
Not getting the point that she's a comedienne. Joan had to go further on record and defended herself saying: "I'm a comedienne. I know what those girls went through. It was a little, stupid joke. There is nothing to apologize for. I made a joke. That's what I do. Calm down. Calm f----- down. I'm a comedienne. They're free, so let's move on.''
