Possum stood his ground

They are fascinating to me. I love to watch them. Opossums are very similar to what the first mammals looked like all the way back to the time of the dinosaurs.

If they are climbing the pole, what else could the opossum do? They are not jumpers, so there was no way off. Had to stand his ground.

I have lots of critters in the backyard. There are about 3 sizes of the opossums right now. This guy is a lot smaller than it appears here. I just thought it was cool to see his teeth. I did watch my other cameras to see what got him so worked up. 😊
