I'm a proud descendant of a Union soldier. I would like to make a comment about your graphic, After Antietam Mclellan sent a report to Lincoln saying that he had driven the invader from our soil. Lincoln was livid! He said it was all our soil. That was the last straw for Lincoln, he fired "Little Mac" as soon as politics allowed. I concur with Lincoln. The whole country should be on the graphic.

My paternal grandfather fought against the Nazis, and my maternal grandfather fought the Empire. Germany and Japan were both very infamous for enslaving and murdering entire populations of so-called inferiors, so this song is very fitting for their actions in the Big War. R.I.P. Richard Arthur Nash (1925-2021) and Rudolph Oliver Vigiletti (1922-1998), you will be remembered.
No way you compare countries that brutally killed tens upon tens of millions to some southerners who liked to own people for labor 💀
bruh this is about ending slavery
@@Dumhorse Yes, that’s what my grandpas did.
No, they were not involved in the American civil war, which was to end actual chattle slavery of an entire race.
@@Dumhorse So? In both instances, it was a moment in human history where one people put their liberty and pursuit of happiness before another’s right to life. The only real difference between chattel slavery and genocide is that in chattel slavery, you most likely would be killed immediately.

The term "Yankee" means "Coward" In Cherokee (I think?) but did we shun that nickname and push it away? No. We embraced it and proudly called ourselves that. Because if being a Yankee means being a true patriot, then we are proud to be a goddamn Yankee.

"Yankee" has an unknown origin. One theory was that it was the nickname that English colonists gave to Dutch colonists since "Jan Kee" (pronounced Yan-kee) was a common Dutch name. Regardless, Yankee Doodle Dandy was a British song that was used to mock the American colonists and gave popularity to the term.
