When we got an award or promoted we would remove the clips that held the chevron's on, place the chevron's in place, then each person in your squad would hit the chevron's driving the pins into your skin. OOORAH!!!
Bias towards action isn't always a positive. We told the FNG to go get an exhaust sample from a jet that was idling. He didn't say a word, looked around the office, grabbed a large trash bag and was headed to the flightline before Gunny stopped him. 😂

MCRD is smaller than Parris Island. So the Weapons/Field Training Battalion is up in Camp Pendleton. Recruits move up to Camp Pendleton at the end of week 6 and return to MCRD for Marine weeks at the end of week 10.
@@troyseals8646Sorry I was a Poolee when I wrote that but I just graduated MCRD San Diego Last week. We did our range and field training as well as the crucible on Edson Range, Camp Pendleton. Once we were done we went back to MCRD San Diego for our Marine Weeks.

It's actually 13 weeks not 11 weeks
13 weeks total, 12 weeks as a recruit one week as a Marine. They probably got the 11 weeks if they didn't count the crucible and Marine week.
@@trentenswett6306 its actually broken down as 1 week receiving, 10 training weeks, 2 weeks as a marine .

Since when do "recruits" go to Camp Pendleton. MCRD is in San Diego, or was in 1966

Interesting to say how soldiers overcome their obstacle. Good programme
Please don't call marines soldiers. It's an insult. The title marine is earned not given
