I remapped my ecosport 2013 from code 6. It started to give a lot of smoke. Then Installed bmc air filter. Smoke reduced but not completely. If I am in higher gear at a little low speed it gives too much smoke. I think the combustion of diesel is still not fine.
That’s true .When going at higher gear at low speed does induce smoke . The best way to get around that issue is to be gentle on the throttle until the turbo spools.Once the turbo is on boil(above 2k rpm) go full throttle.

Can't shift to 5th gear below 60km. I'm happy with the Ford's stock tuning. I have clocked 175km top speed on Belgaum highway in stock itself. Bro did you get a stage 1 or 1+ remap? Did they change the air filter? In case, if you want to change it back to stock map, will it be possible?
I did the remap on my car at 27k km and now it’s close to 50k km. So far I haven’t faced any issues . In fact I’m very satisfied after getting the remap because the power increase is evident in the mid and top end of the rev range. Low end is more or less the same and the turbo only spools once you cross 1800 rpm ;just like the stock tune .I’m not completely sure about the affect on turbo life. It’s on the highway where the power increase is really shining and flat out the car now easily crosses 180 whereas in stock map the car struggles above 160km/hr. The basic tune of code 6 is named stage 1+ ; I haven’t upgraded the airfilter.

Hello If the car is mechanically fine then there no need to worry as Ford does offer great after sales service .Currently they do assure that for next 15 years there is no need to worry about the service and parts availability. If you’re mind is set on EcoSport you should go for it ;it’ll be a decision that you would never regret because it’s a really good car to drive… All the best 👍

I’ve personally did 1200 km in a day without any issues Also I’ve did Calicut - Kolkata -Calicut trip in 6 days (total approx 5000km in 6 days) after remap I haven’t faced any issues Also do note I wasn’t feathering the throttle 😅 Most of the time I was going flat out once crossed Kerala (constantly maintaining 150-160km/hr and occasionally nudging 185km/hr)

Yes they did
But since I didn’t want to mess up with any of the hardware in the car I didn’t do that.
Would the remap disable the speed warning chimes?
My car is 2017 model which does not have any speed warning chimes so I’m not sure about that .
