You taught this step by step so clearly, explaining each material needed, what it was for, how to use it, and the best timing--you are a very good teacher!!!
This is awesome!!! I have a shoulder holster that is tan that I want black. Not exactly a pair of shoes but leather is leather. And it will save me about $200.00. And a big thank you for showing the products you used!!! Never did this before!!!
This helped me soooo much! Thank you for making this video, I purchased all of the products you recommended and just finished re-dyeing my leather boots- they look great.
That was a really cool video and I had no idea that the color can be changed in a way that they look like they never were a different color! :O You really did magic on those shoes.
Thanks a million I've been looking for black pull-on boots for riding my motorcycle. In any of the decent brands that are going to last the black ones all have white soles. They look like bowling shoes. Now I can buy the brown set with a black sole and just die the top. Again cheers!
Wow! ThanKs for sharing! I need to do this. I did dye some shoes one time, but I did not use some of the prep and finishing liquids you recommended so now I need to buy some. Awesome!
Bickmore #1 is what you should’ve used it’s an aggressive cleaner gets water stains out salt and does not darken the leather it will eventually dry back to its regular color
Hi! Thanks for this video…how did the metal hold up (I see it looks perfect)? I have some brown boots with gold metal on them (ball chain look around the zipper)…I’m nervous the dye will get on them and I won’t be able to get it off…any tips?
This is nice work. But can I do this to my leather seats in my car. Currently some parts of the seats are brown & I am not fan of it. Please advise. Thank you!
Thank you for the video. I want to dye a pair of dark blue Chloe Susanna boots black. If you look up that boot, you can see that there are lots of metal studs and hardware on the buckles. Will the dye discolor the metal surfaces? Those boots retail for $1400, but I found a dark navy pair in my size for $100- a better price point for an educator like me. Thanks for any advice
yeah this is cool, well done, will try this, save me a load as the black pair aren't in the sale, brill. My only surprise is I thought you would have worn some gloves to apply the dye? 🙂 great vid
Is there any danger to staining silver hardware like zippers, rivets, buttons, etc.? What should I use if I do stain hardware? Acetone, 50% isopropyl alcohol?
Is this more of a patented leather look? It’s difficult for me to tell if it looks shiny because it’s on camera, or if it’s really that shiny. I’m looking to paint something more matte finish. thanks and great video!
Thw boots look great. Does the paimt strip off when cleaning and conditioning the leather afterwards? I am asking because i dyed a pair of boots folling your steps but using other brand of dye and the colour comes off when i apply conditioner...

Just got me some brown boots at a great price but need them black for work. Thank you very much.🤩
dude this is an absolute game changer...

Is it holding in the creases?
@@redbaron3555 I find I have to just use extra there/spread it in more.
If your Dad has boots like these, you def have brothers and sisters you haven't met!
That was a really cool video and I had no idea that the color can be changed in a way that they look like they never were a different color! :O You really did magic on those shoes.
Thanks! I've gotten into restoring old leather shoes and this is really helpful.
Have you found any problem with the dye discoloring any metal hardware on the boots?
Well done. Good, patient work equals excellent results
wow... What a stunning transformation!
do you really need the deglazer if o want my boots to have like a worn look to it??
Perfect! I need to follow this rule with my leather race suit legs. Cheers

Did you do it?
Wow! ThanKs for sharing! I need to do this. I did dye some shoes one time, but I did not use some of the prep and finishing liquids you recommended so now I need to buy some. Awesome!
Great video, easy instructions. Hopefully my brown Iron Rangers come out this nice.
Your channel deserves more views
Thanks, Marin

Woww. It actually looks like you bought two different sets of shows.. That Black dye came out great
Thanks so much! Going to do this with my Margiela Replicas
How did the dye affect the hardware? Did it just rub off?
Love the results!!
Can I use robbing alcohol as a substitute for acetone?

This is exactly what I came here for, too! Got a pair of Susannah boots too on sale and need to dye!
Can it also work for rubber Crocs shoes?
I really like this video!!! Is very informative and the description is very detailed!! I’m not a new subscriber!🙌🏽🎉❤️ - Lorrie Lean
how are the boots now? did the paint hold up? does it rub off on clothes?

Nice video and killer boots.
Great video mate! Very useful!
OMG, great idea. Thanks for sharing!!!
Looks great, man!
How can i get the product in Africa
great job on the video, you killed it, thank you!
Can this work for leather jackets as well?
Hi thanks its a great vlog but can you use mink oil to condition the leather after dyeing and then put resolene on ?.
Thanks for the video! Do you know if rubbing alcohol would work in place of acetone?
Is there any danger to staining silver hardware like zippers, rivets, buttons, etc.? What should I use if I do stain hardware? Acetone, 50% isopropyl alcohol?
How long will this last?
Does neutral roselene work too?
Can I use this on Faux leather too?
can tan leather paint covers water stain?btw..the color of my boots is light brown(timberland boots)
Was there any rub off from the dye to clothes using this method?
That is what the Resolene is for.
Hi, Can I dye my heels tan heels black with this leather dye?
Any light color can be dyed with this dye.
How can I order this colour
dude howd you clean the metal parts off
When I wiped it with the rag and conditioner it came off. The dye doesn’t stick to the metal parts
Beautiful. Thank you
Does this dye stay even in rain or if it gets wet ? Or do you have to reapply sometimes ?
Wow you did a great job !!!!
Could this work on PU?
where i can buy that stuff?
This looks great!!
Thanks
How long did/ will it last
This is so helpful. What if you don’t want a shine? More matte or does it depend on the type of leather
Try Angelus matte finishing coat
@@Willisoutforbloodi used it and they always get scratched…. Do you have any advise for it please ?
Thanks for your help with this video
amazing video brother!
Thanks bro, much appreciate it
DOES THE NATURAL COLOR APPEAR ON THE CREASE OVERTIME?
Can you use nail polish remover acetone?
I used 100% acetone, it was a lot cheaper and did the job perfectly.
Is it permemet..?
It worked great. Thanks
Hi! The result is really perfect but would you please clarify which products used on to dye the boots as it seems you have linked the wrong product ?
Nicely done - Thank you.
Honestly dis was helpful thanks bro
Wow!! Great vid!
Thanks
Very nice sir, well done
Fantastic video! thank you!!
Any tips on how to dye or paint the outsole/ welt of a pair if they had a natural finish?
If the boots have leather soles like shown in the video. You can use the same dye for the outsoles
What boots are these I like them
Belinya di mana bro
Well done! 🤙🏻😁
Is it easy to get dye off snaps? I noticed you didn't tape them off. Thanks.
Yes, I just used a wet rag to wipe off the dye
Do you need the deglazer?
Yeah you need to remove the original dye so the new one sticks properly
even if the shoe is white? sorry for the follow up question@@Scentedstyle
If my boots already kinda like a faded black, all i need is the dye?
You have products made specifically for faded black
Is resolene important to change the colour of my shoes?
The Resolene seals the dye in if you don't do this part the dye will go everywhere and if the shoes get wet the dye will run and dye your clothes.
Is this more of a patented leather look? It’s difficult for me to tell if it looks shiny because it’s on camera, or if it’s really that shiny. I’m looking to paint something more matte finish. thanks and great video!
Would this work on leather gloves too?
It should but need to make sure you cover nooks and crannies real well.
Good job
Would this work on vegan leather ?x
what if my boots are smooth leather ? because he linked suede dye :/
thanks
Thw boots look great.
Does the paimt strip off when cleaning and conditioning the leather afterwards?
I am asking because i dyed a pair of boots folling your steps but using other brand of dye and the colour comes off when i apply conditioner...
The same thing is happening to me ☹️
Hey did you check the cross swords brand?
No, I never heard of them.
Scented Style ow check them out they do great shoes it an high heeled men dress shoe
I just checked out the website and a couple of videos. They look too slim, not my cup of tea. Thanks for your suggestion
@@Scentedstyle ow sorry to hear that but if it was wider would you wear it because I know a lot of men would be afraid to wear this
thank you so much
I want this
you linked the wrong dye, I hope no one buys roughout for that type of leather
What’s the right dye name?
@@lptrinilptrini333 bro it’s deadass in the video and linked in the comments lol it’s just he linked the suede one it’s the same brand
@@youngchino525 just like them I came to the comments for answers so I didn't have to watch the video bruh 😂
😅 well, that explains a lot....
Thank you so much for pronouncing the YSL name correctly! I hear Americans butcher the name constantly.
Nice.
Why not just dye the boots a different shade of brown with the finish? The wyatts look amazing in brown.
It was my excuse for getting a black pair. I did enjoy the brown color while it lasted
I would like my shoes with white dye where can I buy it in south africa
Easiest thing is 2 go from light 2 dark!
Pretty awesome. .
Thanks, David
Can you do this with car interior
Can I also do this on already colored leather?
Yes, just make sure to remove all the previous dye as much as possible
N o i c e

0:05 💀 The way he tries to say Saint Laurent like he's French or something 😂
Tell all products name
does it matter if it's not suede ?
This is not the method for suede .
