I laughed when you said, "I'm not saying I'm an artist at all." Preston, you are definitely an artist! You play with colour, texture, and finish and you've got the eye and skill to achieve what you want. Go ahead and call yourself an artist, you've earned that title! Lovely job on these shoes, as usual. Always a pleasure to watch your work evolve.
Not to discredit his work but people throw around the word "artist" and "art" a lot that it has now looses it's meaning. Real artist now are in danger of losing their status and people's respect because of this. What he does is truly a skill but in no way you call that an art. Does the shoe tells us anything about society? Does the shine on the shoe evoke emotion? Does the pair of shoe he do differ than the one he did yesterday? And don't even use the argument "art is subjective". Yes art is subjective but the meaning of the word isn't.
I am a sneaker collector. Have over 200 pairs of air jordans and yeezys. Some Jordan’s are from the 80’s(originals) but I am now loving dress shoes and found this channel. Had no idea and didn’t know about this. Thank you
I love that Hermes Red. Just discovered it. I had a pair of burgundy shoes that my previous cobbler basically turned purple. After learning some things from your videos, I stripped the shoes down, used Hermes Red, and now have them the color I want.
I miss when the Army required us to shine our boots. I felt as if we lost something when we switched to the kind they have now. Shining my boots was the best part of my day.
MAN! A work of ART! The soles are just as SHARP as the upper shoes. I wouldn't want to wear them because it would destroy the sole. Burgundy is my favorite color. I wish to God those were my shoes. I'm sure her brother loved them. Because of the shine on the bottom, he better not walk across any concrete the moment he puts them on. Lol!
I’ve been watching your videos for a little over 2 weeks. Ordered 7 pairs of Allen Edmonds off Poshmark this week and just ordered all the repair products on your website! I’ve been doing Custom Nike Air Force 1s now for over a year and can’t wait to get into the more gentlemanly side of custom shoes! Thank you so much for all the information! Truly inspiring seeing these transformations!
Bellissimo! Preston, I very much admire your willingness to share what you love to do with others so openly. In my opinion this is a sign of confidence in what you do. I try to be the same way at my work and the team (and myself) are much better for it. Well done! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 Thumbs Up People!!! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
I’m impressed how you turned naked leather shoes into these amazing shoes. I hope you come out with a shoe of your own. I’m sure it would be top notch if you did.
I understand he doesn't want to call himself an artist, but he is, and more - he's also a master of his craft, rare to be both! "Art is described as an unstructured and open-ended form of work; that expresses emotions, feelings, and vision. Craft denotes a form of work, involving the creation of physical objects, by the use of hands and brain. Art relies on artistic merit whereas craft is based on learned skills and technique." Tell me Preston isn't both of these things in this video/in general! Awesome work again, sir!
Preston, I wish I could add photos of my sons wedding shoes! It was Because of your help, I was able to turn a dark brown pair of thrift store shoes into cognac Beauties to wear with his blue suit!! Thank you so very much!
I love this...ways I love this are many but mostly, you are a true craftsman and artist-*which is being almost rediscovered these days by true artisans like yourself-I LOVE THAT! Also, you are taking shoe shining | leather care | all things to do with shoe & leather, to this level of truth in craftsmanship that is very interesting and soothing. It is straight up, super fabulous and fantastic! I learn so much from your videos and as I start to get all of my leather goods back in their best condition, I will totally support your channel by ordering products from your links. Thank you for being you man! Very very cool! Thank You!
Even the purple (initial colour) looks very beautiful. I would have been happy with that colour. Perhaps next shoe, I will select this beautiful light purple.
Thank you for showing how to up my game. Have been following you for a while now. Ex girl friend stops by about once a month so I can shine her shoes that I re shaded, marbled and patina about three years ago.
Great Job, Preston!!! Love the shade used on the uppers! I hope the family is doing well and y'all are staying safe!!! Definitely need to send in another pair of shoes for this dye job!
Thank you so much for talking about the airbrush, Preston. I am inspired by all of your work, but I must say, the shoes you dye by hand are my favorite. Also, I’d love to see you play around with navy blue some more in the future. Hope you’re well and periodically getting some fresh air outside of the acetone cave. 👍 Thanks for teaching me something every video.
Wow! Wonderful video really enjoyed your work. I found a real treasure when I came across your website and TH-cam channel. Please keep up the good work and keep those videos coming.
Brillant. I am just so Jazzed by looking at u. I am definitely going to invest in the products in order to do my shoes, but right now I am not that comfortable attempting to do it myself, but I am getting there. Thank u so much for sharing!
Preston, you need to do a pair, doing the uppers the way you did the outsole. You could auction them off, and give the money to an appropriate charity. I think you'd get an incredible response!!🌌
I guess i did to order these same shoes in white and send it to you for dying it in olive green with black patina and by the way great video. Your videos helped me a lot on giving a proper care to my shoes
Awesome job brother! Glad I came across your channel. I needed some tips on dyeing shoes as I'm planning to dye my custom made boots from the Philippines in either Oxblood or burgund. Those shoes look sic! Definitely looking forward to watching more

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What is his whole name??
Pensé exactamente lo mismo: " cómo que no eres artista?!"
He says that so YOU COMMENT duh

Amazing! I didn’t even know you could get shoes in crust. Great work as usual Preston!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I think that is the most important point. No one offers crust shoes for normal consumer.
@@zieh1383 I actually just bought some from J Fitzpatrick and on clearance as well.
You are an artist . Painting the soles proves it. And the results:)
Ooo-la-la Preston. The hint of green in the soles was unexpected, but genius! BRAVO!
Sir, you do not need a script. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. You are a talented man and yes, you are an artist.
The sole looks like a watercolour painting of a nebula
Thought the same, amazing.
The end result is fantastic! You can really see all of the love, creativity, and work you put into this pair💕
This is art by any measure, and you are definitely an artist by any measure...

The soles are simply amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to become an art standard for patinas !
If I had these shoes, I would never wear them but would put them on display for everyone to see. Great job.
I love that Hermes Red. Just discovered it. I had a pair of burgundy shoes that my previous cobbler basically turned purple. After learning some things from your videos, I stripped the shoes down, used Hermes Red, and now have them the color I want.
@4:05 my friend do not disqualify yourself as not being an artist. This is an art, there are all forms of artist. You are an artist😎great work!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow. Good job sir
I miss when the Army required us to shine our boots. I felt as if we lost something when we switched to the kind they have now. Shining my boots was the best part of my day.
British army still shine the hell out of there boots
This was amazing! I want to say "excellent job" but I'm ashamed that those words are not enough to describe your artistic work.
MAN! A work of ART! The soles are just as SHARP as the upper shoes. I wouldn't want to wear them because it would destroy the sole. Burgundy is my favorite color. I wish to God those were my shoes. HI, PRESTON!!! Those areas absolutely gorgeous! The sole is out of hand. Artistry, indeed.
Absolutely perfect. And ...yes ....you are indeed an artist.
Thank you Jonell. I appreciate your comment
I love the entire shoe, but the soles are the best!!! Beautiful and unique touch.
A great mastery of technicality, embellished with prolific creativity, all in an impeccable rendering.
Great job with this video. "Carlos Santos" is one of my favorite shoe brands. They are high quality, detail driven manufacturers from Portugal.
Miracles exist and you are able to do it. Awesome job.
Outstanding! The sole was probably my favorite part!
Bellissimo!

King of patina!
King of shoe shine!
These came out amazing!! The soles are my favorite part.
I fall in love with the craftsmanship.
This is fascinating. I've never seen this done before and had no idea what the process was. Thanks so much for this demonstration of your skills.
That is the most beautiful outsole I have ever seen 🤩
You’re a true ARTIST Preston. Your videos are so relaxing. Thanks
I understand he doesn't want to call himself an artist, but he is, and more - he's also a master of his craft, rare to be both!

exactly! The simple act of mirror shining is artistry. Let alone bringing an entire shoe to life
jeeeeezzzz!! it looks it's worth a million dollars! amazing job!!!!! wow!
Amazing!
Preston, I wish I could add photos of my sons wedding shoes! It was Because of your help, I was able to turn a dark brown pair of thrift store shoes into cognac Beauties to wear with his blue suit!! Thank you so very much!
Amazing Kim. Good work and thanks for the comment. I’m sure your son’s shoes looked amazing.

Handsome dress shoe!❤❤❤ Nice work my friend!😊❤🌻
That's art. Nothing less. Wonderful work.
Whoever won that is one lucky bastard. Congratulations. That shoes looks rad
waooo man you are some kind a master in polishing the footwears
Beautifully done
Honestly I dig the purple shift. I would love to see a purple shoe
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Even the purple (initial colour) looks very beautiful. I would have been happy with that colour. Perhaps next shoe, I will select this beautiful light purple.
Truly a work of art
These are really beautiful shoes, wish I had a pair just like them.
Thank you for showing how to up my game. Have been following you for a while now. Ex girl friend stops by about once a month so I can shine her shoes that I re shaded, marbled and patina about three years ago.
Men salutes amigos de 🇦🇷♥️tenquios berimachs beyendo sapatos vistas lindas yutuber chispas para el mundo 🗺 lindo.
When the video ends I have tears in my eyes what a remarkable work he has done
Just have to say , I finally subscribed... after having been watching your videos for quite some time. I thought I already was!
Great Job, Preston!!! Love the shade used on the uppers! I hope the family is doing well and y'all are staying safe!!! Definitely need to send in another pair of shoes for this dye job!
Those came out beautifully, the soles look like the color case gardening done on old shotguns
You've outdone yourself here, bravo!
Huge fan of your work Preston!
You could read a phone book and put me to sleep. Your voice is so relaxing and soothing.
Just found your channel this week...and I can't stop watching your vids. Your work is stunning!
I'm so impressed! Beautiful!
And you are totally right! That sole looks a million times better when fully dried!
For applying polish, I recommend using a nitrile/latex glove. You get the precision of your finger, without dying your finger. Best of both worlds!
Absolutely amazing and unique working! Thanks so much!
I love how they cane out. Great job Mr. Soto
Congrats to the winner! These look awesome! Well done!!
You are absolutely an artist for real! Art comes in many media forms. Great videos. Subscribed!
Beautiful work! Some sweet Bob Ross vibes when you were ‘painting’ the sole.
That's a happy little tree! 🌳
Thank you so much for talking about the airbrush, Preston. I am inspired by all of your work, but I must say, the shoes you dye by hand are my favorite. Stunning. My experience in shining was my boots for cadets. Pussa boots to lay navy. We used to have to spoon and beeswax then weeks of kewi polish.
I'd never want to wear those, Preston. They belong in a museum! It would be a shame to ruin those soles. You ARE an artist. Blows me away!🤯
THOSE ARE REALLY NICE😍 Good job man!👍
He truly is an artist and has been very inspirational to me
As a beginning leatherworker, this is super super interesting. Subbed!
Preston, you need to do a pair, doing the uppers the way you did the outsole. You could auction them off, and give the money to an appropriate charity. I think you'd get an incredible response!!🌌
Wow absolutely amazing transformation!!! 👏🏾
I guess i did to order these same shoes in white and send it to you for dying it in olive green with black patina and by the way great video.
Your videos helped me a lot on giving a proper care to my shoes
Awesome look! Gave me an idea of what to do to my soles.
Outstanding job Preston! I've noticed on Instagram a lot of patina artist will use airbrush and then photograph the shoes holding a paintbrush.
Haha yeah I’ve noticed 😂
OMG! You are an artist 👍
Great job Preston. They look amazing.
