In highschool the best and easiest way I improved from 11.6 to 10.8 was weight loss .. power to weight ratio means everything .. weight loss , then work on muscle lean .. then strength.. this is what allowed me to break 11 seconds in highschool .. 🧬 genetics plays a huge part as well
Fastest was 11.31 today 14 years old in middle school. Coach timed me last week and I got 11.8 and I'm glad I improved my .5 today. My goal is to win our district meet.

When I was in high school(15 years old) I ran the 100m in 11.13s, it’s been about 7 years and I’ve recently just started getting back into 100m sprinting. I ran it yesterday for fun and got 14.76 seconds, very disappointed with myself and how I let myself go. My goal is to hit under 13 seconds again by the end of the year. P.S I hit the 11.13s with a standing start and always thought I could have gotten a better time if I started properly.
Hey thank you for this! Two months ago I got spinal fusion for scoliosis/4 ribs taken out and joined track to strengthen by lungs, but in the meantime I realized I want to be much faster than I am currently. At my first track meet -yesterday -I got 34/34th place LOL. 17.88 seconds ish. By the end of the season I’m aiming for 15 seconds at most. I feel like also with recovering I’ll inevitably get faster too bc technically I am injured. If I keep working at it, I believe I’ll get better. 💓
Decelerate the least by maintaining form and keeping minimal ground contact time! It’s all about who’s able to slow their deceleration the most! I’m sure you’ll put the work in to improve 🔥
I am a filipino , 49 years .i was a sprinter during my college ,but due to the poor training program i was not able to make for national competition ,my best 100m tome is 11.60 seconds during my college days . Now i tend to go back to training and compete for masters . It hard for me to start again .i have no coach so i will just watch your videos

I been sprinting for a few months. Never ran track before that and it feels like it’s so hard to improve. When I first ran it was 13.48 now my pb is 12.95 but in the last month I haven’t been able to hit sub 13 and keep just about missing it. I think I’m gonna have to work more on my acceleration phase cause that seems to be my weakness but I really hope i actually have the physical ability to even get to low 12 seconds cause I know genetics have a lot to do with how fast you sprint
The human body is one of the most adaptable things of the planet. It will adapt to whatever specific stimuli and stress you put it under. Just because someone might be born with the adaptations to run fast doesn’t mean you can’t develop them. If you have the right work ethic and coach to guide you you’ll definitely make improvements!
My best 100m time was 12.something second, I just recently started track at my middle school, my first meet is on Monday pretty excited and can’t wait to see what comes in the future😃

My best 100m rn is an 11.69 imma semi in hs and I’m rlly tall, 6’1. And skinny frame. Like jus imagine a younger usain😂that’s my body build. But my issue is my block starts. Every race I start so slow bc my stride is so long and my legs are longer so I can’t put as many first steps into my race and it’s costing me abt .4 secs. If I could fix that I could be at 11.2-11.1 and that would be a dream. Thank you for this. Bc I have the speed already it’s jus my initial block start.
11.30 at the age of 13 and I didn’t get my 8th grade year for track Bec of hw pandemic. But I when from 12 sc as a 6ths grader and 11 sc as a 7th grader
There is no best workout for the 100m. It’s all about working on the individual parts of your race and then putting them together. If you have a bad block start work in 4x30m and focus on being powerful. If your top acceleration needs improvement you can do 3x60m flys coming off the curve. If you need better speed endurance and maintenance 3x150 would help that. But there isn’t just one thing to do these are all just examples of exercises.
My best 100m time is 11.7s ish (HT) in High School at 17 and was a 400m sprinter (49.95s - Laser). I unfortunately had to take a gap which ended up being 5 years now… I’m already on it to spend the next 5 for redemption. 🙏🏽

Workout 2x10m Acceleration from blocks 3 min break 2x30m Acceleration from blocks 4 minute break 1x60m Acceleration from blocks 4 minute break 1x90m acceleration from blocks Focus on technique and efficient acceleration.
I had county trails a couple days ago I’m 15 and ran a 100m in 11.48s and 200m in 24.6s (dont run for club and have never really trained Running for the south west in a couple of weeks
It depends on the athlete. Some athletes are really good so they’ll have big meets late in the summer which changes their schedule. Normally the off season goes from August to late October in Elementary, Middle and High school. Pre season training goes from late October till January. The indoor season in Texas goes from January till around late February. After the indoor season some people take a week off to rest before going into the outdoor season. The high school outdoor season goes from March until May. Many athletes will take 1-2 weeks break to recover before running summer track. Summer track goes from June until early August ending with the Junior Olympics.
Stride length is just the distance traveled from takeoff to landing. Stride length isn’t increased by over reaching with your legs. But by producing more force in the right direction to go further. Single leg squats, jumping lunges, and med ball throws will help with force production.

There’s no good or bad it’s just where you’re starting what matters is making progress! If you keep making progress then you’re on the right track. Everyone has their own path to follow. But for a short answer no it’s not bad.

Work on your acceleration with 20-30m sprints really focusing on technique and body position. Work on your max velocity with 60m sprints and flys off the curve. With emphasis on putting your feet down underneath you. These things along with learning how to put together all phases of the 100m will definitely help you improve.
Got a 13.4 last week, my previous pr was 13.7 with backwind. I just have alot of upward force instead of leaning. If anyone got some excersizes or tips for me please feel free to give some advide

never trained before, last time i did 100m sprint in 2021 i did sub 16second at 12 i was 3 seconds faster then 2nd place overall

Yes because you need range of motion in the hips to get in the right positions to apply force and a stable core to be able to absorb force.
