In this ArtistsNetwork.tv workshop Stephen starts with exercises on color characteristics and color mixing so that viewers can learn how to get successful results with granulating, staining and transparent pigments. He then uses these lessons to painting a moody, soft-lit landscape from start to finish, teaching techniques along the way for painting skies and trees, light and shadow, sparkling water and rough rocks, and more for a watercolor landscape painting filled with soft, warm light.
Preview Stephen Quiller's Painting Workshop: Atmosphere & Light in Watercolor here now to learn how to mix your watercolor for granulating vs. smooth effects, how to paint wet-into-wet, and how to paint with expression. Then visit ArtistsNetwork.tv for access to the full-length video.
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you!!
I never found landscapes beautiful till I saw your work.
Hi how doing
Love the way this painting looks. Thanks for sharing and I may just get the video as I think you are a very good instructor.
I love this, thank-you!
Thanks for the video and for your suggest about hearing our intern voice some times we re afraid to show what we really feel or think but that is what us art, it is brave and true so thanks for all
5:45 -- everything you say here is often forgotten, I think, by many young artists trying to make it. There are so many fads circulating right now (especially in the area of watercolour landscapes - this is mostly from what I've gathered on Instagram, Etsy, etc..) and I really appreciate the reminder to "learn from others, then push on."
Just beautiful thank you so much

Sadly you seem to run a subscription only sales model for this video, so even though this covers many items I am interested in seeing, I shall have to pass on purchasing it as a video and look for a DVD instead because I wish to watch it in locations and on a variety of devices of my choosing.
