I would love if the dates worked more like the sims 2 where you can see the other sims wants on a date rather than going through the same boring checklist. It would also give a chance for the date to go bad if the other sims needs aren’t met rather than it being because you didn’t do everything on a checklist
theres no way I can have fun in the sims 2 in 2024 tbh, its so outdated and I love the sims 4, BUT in 2006 the sims 2 was so trendy, and new, I remember I had more fun than today!!!!! and those little details that all the expansion packs in the sims 2 were CRUCIAL, each expansion pack had its own super power, I remember when Open 4 Business was released I was over the roof lol, it was a good pack, my sims had a flower shop in the basement and omg, it was fun, Nightlife was incredible, the dating scene was so well made
In Sims 1, you could only repeat the same interaction 3 times. After that it would be rejected for the next couple of hours.
I play the Sims 2 with a few mods and it's pretty fun. I struggle going back to Sims 4@@ReginaTrans_
I would add I would love for them to not forget about milestones and have a first crush milestone, first kiss, first date etc

I love the idea of long distance relationships! It makes me wish it was harder to travel between worlds, ie it would cost money or you'd have to take vacation time.
you could always add in vacation rentals to do this ☺️ costs more the longer you stay and the more expensive the house it
Yeah I hear you, but I would love it if even to go to the Romance Festival in San Myshuno you had to buy a train ticket or something if your house is in another world, you know?

To expand on the idea that would even be *relatively* easy for the Sims team to do:
Like it would cost 100 simoleons to travel to San Myshuno from Willow Creek, but it doesn't have any animations or anything even. And then you get a notification when you arrive, little icon of a train and a message about "you arrived at Lot Name by train. Your household was charged 100 simoleons for the trip." Could even add rare events for negative or positive moodlets. Or like Sulani would be an airplane icon and cost 5000 simoleons, etc. Option to turn off in game settings.
@theonemica true! They could even update the loading screen itself if you bought a certain type of ticket, a little train animation or plane. It's not much, but it would make a big difference in the immersion I think!
I would really want townie sims to initiate breaks ups. Some you have a chance to fix and others you can't depent on traits. Like a non committal sim will ghost you or break up via text
totally miss the zodiac and turn ons and turn offs that came with Sims 2. maybe blind dates for the new EP or a holiday romance maybe too? An update to Social Bunny to make it more Grown Up and have the original Social bunny app for the High School Sims. Totally agree on the propose at the table interaction, I'd love if Sims could link arms and walk around or hold hands. Bring back the 'Goose' interaction from Sims 2 pinch bottom lol.
Do you want more relationship options in cas? Like uncle, cousin and auntie.
I miss when they could look around the room and see who they think is attractive and who they don’t, like when a sim could ask “ Do you like what you see?” And they could say yes or harshly reject them lol I am excited for a romance pack to me there’s so much potential. I’ve heard some people complain but I can’t believe anyone would be happy about how it is now. Not that it’s bad but it could definitely be a lot better. I’m also looking forward to more romantic interactions and reactions. I hope they put as much thought into this as they did “ Growing Together”.
I have often wanted double dating. I have siblings who live together and are both working on relationships. It would be such a time-saver to have them go on double-dates and kill 2 birds with one stone.
I was surprised that the compatibiliy system from Growing Together works. I mean several couples fell apart and married other sims more suited once I downloaded it. I hope this pack builds on that.
Uh, Sims do propose autonomously. My max charisma Sim has learned not to use the 'Enchanting Introduction' at all, because that tends to give too much romance, to the point where Sims are asking to become his girlfriend and, after a woo-hoo, asking to get married. When you say no, you basically destroy the romance bar (though the friendship remains intact) and you have options to tell them they're moving too fast or you're not ready for that yet (which restores some of the romance bar loss). Also, with regard to the person asking if they can give your number to someone, the text comes in from that person with syntax along the lines of "I hope we can become fast friends".
that’s done through text though right? i’d much prefer it if it was an actual animation, like we propose to other sims
neighborhood stories does need an update! i want the sims that call to ask to go on dates to actually have a real outcome. it also seems no one in the niehgborhood stories ever get jobs. i find myself constantly going into every household and using mcc to get everyone in random jobs so my sims can actually meet people at work!
Would be awesome to have “separate” option before divorce and then have option to grow apart or work on relationship and part house holds. And then split custody of kids and pets. Child support etc. and like choose to be awesome step parent or drama starter etc

I feel that a lot of what you mentioned wanting in a pack really should be in the game itself already. Sims4 needs to be hauled into 2024. I love the game, but...

I would love if sims were able to choose their orientation, like with their likes and dislikes or when they can change a trait that would be amazing. I know they can have like pen pals, what if this pen pal can turn into a long distance relationship? All of this can be funny/ cute or like even rabbit hole dates at the theater or somewhere else we're you can. Have pop ups about what happens. I really want more things with like teenage romance. Like parents not agreeing to relationship (can be link to parenthood with house rules) or course turn on and turn offs. Talk about your love life with your parents or siblings or friends. Lil crushes would be CUTE
THE SIMS ÇA HAVE A EMBARRASSED OR SHY MOODLET IF THEY DO SOMETHING I' FRONT OF THE SIM THEY LIKE. and I agree with cheating. I Want DRAMA I want like a surprise and the non played sims proposes to mine OR WANT TO SPLIT UP OR DIVORCE why should I be the bad guy 😢. I want the other Sim to cheat too idk

they can give use a skill/perk tree system about love like turn ons and turn offs like sims 2 and attractive system and they include turns on and off that related with love from romance or love family or friends more then just 3 turn ons and offs but skill/perk tree system turn ons and offs because a person dont have only 2 turns or turns off

Oh yes, please bring back the cheekiness of TS2! I can't believe my Sims can't make out on the bed, or even talk to each other. WTH?!? I so miss the attraction system and like/dislikes. One of the things that bothers me the most about relationships now, is the utter lack of fidelity. It's so hard to have committed, monogamous couples. Even if I apply the Loyal trait, my Sim will still get phone calls from married (Loyal) Sims confessing a crush. It infuriates me. I literally scream at them that they are a happily married Sim, cut that out! Also, yes, when Sims cheat or break hearts, the consequences should be more serious than one "I'm sorry" away. I'm extremely worried about the pack being a hot mess though. I truly wish I weren't. What is it going to do to my save file? What will it do to my existing couples? Will they still have amazing compatibility? How many hoops will I have to jump through to keep them head-over-heals in love? Yes, I'm excited for the new EP, but also filled with great trepidation. Keep the videos coming. I love all these ideas and speculation! #theheartbedreturns

I've been saying that I wish they would update the neighborhood story with more options and while MCCC is a very good mod, it still makes me have to micromanage certain things in my game.
the love language idea sounds so interesting! it would be so cool to see them implement something that would give more depth to sims
and I really really hope they bring back cuddling when couples are sleeping, those small details were always so cute in sims 3
Game play: Hotels/romantic couple vacation/zodiacs compatibility/simda dating mod EA version/wonderful whims ea version,leaving your baby with choice of who for date/travel, makeup kit,nail kit, skin care kit are a must in this pack
Cas: real lashes, highlighter, bronzer/contour, category: valentine wardrobe
I definitely want a date overhaul. When a sim asks mine out instead of the other way around (so no checklist just a timer), unless they spend the whole time making out or woohooing then the sim who asked mine out hates the date. So if I want my sim to be alloromantic but asexual and uninterested in those things, their date is doomed to fail
It would really nice if they brought the chemistry system back!! Also more drama and realistic reqctions or something. And I agree they need to beef up existing systems. It would also be nice if they had like a dual game mode or swatch where you could toggle on or off local drama, and drama in the played house hold!
I want the ability to schedule dates; when their s/o calls for a date, there should also be a raincheck option that reschedules the date within 1-3 days. On the date day, the sim may have a happy, flirty, or tense moodlet until the date starts. If you cancel a scheduled date, it should also decrease the romance meter (more for unmarried sims) with a chance of a "Flaky" sentiment. Canceling often would lead to the other sim suggesting a breakup with an option to accept it or ask for a 2nd chance.
I want that furious state back, too, but I do like that different types of romantic interactions have different levels of affect on the one who’s being cheated on. So the for different types of actions there’s a stronger or longer furious state/sentiment/etc.
Yeah the argument about what should be in a pack or free BG update or should have already been in BG before release. This is also because this is the 4th one so no matter what they do for Project Rene, the arguments will be there
3 was a good balance to me. The turn on and turn offs in 2 were weird to me and felt random. The zodiac signs felt like a little detail rather than influencing love. Also 3 was good with the drama. I don't like ts2 drama.
The sentiments is a good idea. I feel like sentiments is a way to show what a Sim thinks. I do like how 4 does let players choose to set up neighborhood stories, family dynamics etc. I've seen people talk about how real life people don't interact, we've gotten shallow. So townies are like real life. I thought there was a random card that the other Sim would propose, it's just not animated? 🤔 I have been thinking about how the options menu needs to be utilized but with everything I think of, I worry the AI would be confused. Yeah date goals depending on the chosen location. My Sims went to the karaoke bar. They sang karaoke but that isn't a goal. I think little details are missing and a lot of things can be made to be optional even without the options menu, but a few things will have to be in the opinion or neighborhood story menus. Forgot neighborhood stories is a different section of options. Heck ts2 chance cards had the choice to ignore. Yes more animations for the bed.
Really little details for everything and almost everything can be programmed to be by choice. I'm just not sure if the options menu would be too much.
Obviously not everything will happen but hopefully the little details. Like every pack, there is the debate about what should be in the pack or orey pack update.
I still want difficulty levels for us to choose how hard the game is.

I want ability to deny romantic actions. Like if your sim is loyal then even if someone tries to flirt they don’t accept it. And then you don’t have to worry about their partner getting hurt or jealous etc. I had a townie just flirt and ruined my sims relationship and neither of my playable sims were even in flirt mood. So it was very frustrating.

Need the heart bed but can’t lie I am skeptical of this pack due to how bad wedding stories was lol though I loved everything you suggested. I remember that feature in sims 2 with the cheating . Would love something like that in ts4 also love languages would be awesome!
I've noticed the phone number feature from get famous halfway works. I will get a call afterward and it will show me the sim who is calling - but then nothing after that. They aren't added to the relationship panel, and if it's a sim I'm not familiar with like a randomly generated one then I might not ever meet them.
Also we do sort of have the feature to set up our friends it came with Get Together I believe? The option to either talk up your friends or hook up your friends.
I'm imagining so many story-telling ideas if they added more flirty dating activities and dating pitfalls, rather than solely chat-interactions. Let's see some more love-triangle drama from crushes, not just getting caught cheating. And being around their crush makes them clumsily burn their grilled cheese they were cooking while they were thinking about the sim. And if they find out their crush likes Rock Climbing, they start rolling wants to take up rock climbing and go rock climbing with their crush. I want to see the love on their faces and interactions too, and not just in the moodlets.
If they don’t put the heart bed in that pack I’m going to 🤯
I love all of these ideas! I hope they add the turn ons and turn offs. I would like Sims to be able to be attracted to tattoos, body marks, makeup, hair colors, etc.
I’m thinking they might add perfume to the game as a turn on/turnoff again too.
I’m looking forward to this pack, it has lots of potential.
I do hope they fix relationships regarding the awareness of Sims. I feel like it’s unrealistic for Sims not to get jealous at all or to not seem to have enough awareness or concern.
I would also like to see playing footsies, flirting, sharing a bite of food or feeding a bite of food, and other fun interactions work with dinner dates, etc.
I really hope polyamory is included in the update officially, I already play with it a lot in my personal games. I'm poly in real life, and every poly relationship is totally different from one another. no two are alike, really, and that is the beauty of it, being able to customize the relationship dynamics to tailor to each partner's needs. And it encourages everyone to be honest about their feelings, not to feel trapped but heard by their partner(s). I hope we can get some good storytelling in with that update. But, now that makes me wonder, can we woohoo with multiple partners at one time??? like in the same bed?
I really want Online Dating in it cause it would make it so much easier for my Sims to meet new Sims
A little feature that would be nice is if you could send the kids off to like daycare for a few hours or their grandparents for the weekend for date nights!
I would just love more sim led preferences so maybe they find someone attractive or there preferences change etc without me controlling it!

Haven't played for years but think a good comprised was to get online dating in the base game but maybe that you could do it from the computer but the pack let you do it from your phone also. Ans maybe other perks like more options and trolling etc. And that base game is only get the core online dating via phone perhaps..
Cheating scandals are in Sims 4. Yesterday I randomly looked at my male Sim’s (Luca) family tree after not playing it for awhile. He is married to the mermaid Nalani and have a toddler daughter. Under his tree he had a newborn daughter named Helen. I never got Nalani pregnant. I clicked Helen’s picture which showed her NON PLAYABLE CHARACTER mom who was Lucas high school sweetheart! I completely forgot I aged Helen’s mom up but then left her alone for another storyline. So now I’m forced to have Luca take custody of the child and Nalani swallow her up in the ocean with her Siren call. The mama was a mean and angry anyway. Lol

I'm very happy with the WW Attraction System (and I know a lot of us are and have been using it for so long now). So, I don't even know why they're bothering with this kind of update - because it will have to be better than that and I don't know... But like you said - it's 10 yr old game and I still love it. Expectations are low because they would need to overhaul the whole game to make the sims deeper (and hopefully that is Sims 5). Thanks for your in-depth observations and thoughts.

I agree with all of this!! I really hope we get this, it's been MISSING so bad in the game. It's also a shame we'd have to pay for this.
I really want it to be more of a chance for sims to get caught cheating... As the game is now, my sim could have a full blown relationship with another sim that they are not toghether/married to and even have a baby with that other person and the spouse don´t know ANYTHING if they don´t caught them in the act??!!!! That is so unrealistic....🤔😡
I also wish it had an impact on the family as well. I remember in TS2, if the kids saw one of their parents cheating they got really upset and their relationship tanked. And if the parents ended up splitting up it was a real challenge for them to enter into a new relationship as the kids would get upset and immediately hate the new partner.
I agree that expanding on childhood crushes would be adorable. Maybe they could reject them by saying something like their admirer has cooties.
I also really hope they bring back the Gold Digger aspiration. I played that all the time in TS3!

I'm probably the only one with this opinion, but as someone who's always single and not by choice, I don't know if I love this pack idea or if I can't stomach my Sims having an even better romance life. 🙊🤣

The thing I'm hoping for most is one sided attraction. I would love to see some unrequited crushes and Sims struggling trying to get over a Sim that just doesn't like them back.
I would like them to just copy everything from TS2. Also, please give us gifts at the end of the date at the door again, and a NORMAL SIZED bouquet.
I just want adults to have crushes and for townie sims to not all be aromantic. At this point those 2 things would make me happy
I am thinking what if the new pack will have a regency era marriage mart social interaction system and scandalous secrets reporting society papers.
I want the ability to have a Secret Love Child...or Not have an auto relationship with other parent, to allow the other parent to introduce child or have the other parent have the ability to question the other parent if the child is his. A child should have an auto relationship in Both parents are in the Same Home, but if one parent Isn't, then the child shouldn't have an auto relationship with other parent Not in the Home.

Hear me out, what if aspirations had one pre-set like and dislike so you didn't have to do it manually every single time. You could still change them after the fact. Maybe mansion barren automatically makes you like complaining and dislike small talk. Just simple things like that.
It's harder to add a furious state in Sims4 when such a state could kill a sim. In fact, if the cheater gets embarrassed both sims could die.
the way i want it to work isn’t tied to emotions though. more just the furious state that we had in the sims 2 that pertains to interactions and how sims interact with each other for a period. it’s more like a sentiment than an emotion in terms of sims 4

If they are going to do Zodiac I would like them to create a sims zodiac signs and not use the astrological signs. It can be 4 to 6 sims zodiac signs.

@@silverovercastI genuinely don’t think they would based on 1. how badly mws was received, they don’t wanna carry that “theme” on. and i absolutely think we would’ve had more honeymoon esque iconography in the roadmap if it was the case. i deffo think this is gonna be like a growing together but for romance, giving us different types of romantic relationships and stuff. lol pls don’t jinx us 😂😭

I recently cheated a couples relationship because he caught her flirting at the bar, and he had the jealous trait. Both telationship bars went fully red, and nothing I tried over several Sim weeks helped. They are living together and have a baby, so I wanted them to work out. But they were sleeping in separate beds. So, this does exist in Sims 4. It would drive me crazy if it happened often.
but that’s with cheating. it rarely gets that bad without cheats or divorcing a sim
@EnglishSimmer No, I didn't use cheats until weeks of not being able to fix the relationship via game interactions. I was desperate. This is the first time I had to cheat to repair a relationship.
I had a loyal and a jealous Sim, it's the worst my Sim flirted confessed and they got back up their relationship, but she would reconfess every couple of days. They had eight kids finished their aspirations, including a soulmate aspirations but she kept confessing to the time she flirted with someone else when they were dating.

They can choose who they want to Date , thier First Date is really easy for Them Enjoy they at first they are love ❤ Instead after that they start dating after first Kiss 💋 then move on to dating maybe they could get Married
