Mr. Vintage- I bought myself a laminated Dunlop 7 wood back in the early 80's which features a brass sole of similar configuration. Then a laminated Harvey Penick 20* "Weed Cutter" from Golfsmith. Now Louisville Golf "Niblicks" 3, 5, and 7 persimmons with the same general design. All are fine fairway/trouble woods too.

One of the original trouble clubs. Most commonly seen as a 7 wood back in the day. When these came out, these appeared in many member bags where I caddied, and they really worked especially for the high handicappers. The club actually would dig the ball out of the rough. One caveat as a caddy. Get ready to replace a lot of divots. I mean a lot the size of small forest animals.

I too was a caddie in the late 70s and early 80s. I have similar experiences and memories. Good times!

Lol, those green flying... woodland creatures. I have a 7 wood, I should have reviewed that one

Found one of these at a thrift store in Palm Desert- beautiful! Didn’t get it though, should have. I suck.

After Stan Thompson went out of business, Louisville Golf bought what was left of the Ginty parts & was able to use them to make new Ginty’s until the parts ran out. Due to issues with Callaway Golf, Louisville was not permitted to make any brand new Ginty’s from scratch….

Everyone should carry a Ginty, unbeatable at getting out of the rough.

there is a difference between the "Ginty" & the Ginty numbered woods.....the original Ginty was either a 7 wood loft or 8 wood loft & was considered a "trouble wood". I have both - a Ginty & a numbered set 1 thru 5 w/an8 & 9 woods. If you ever come across the iron set...it'd be a good video, yeah - same keel on the irons also (came across a starter set 3,5,7,9).

Hey, I have a set of clubs I found at goodwill and they are in mint condition, they are 1950s era, I was hopping I going get some insight or knowledge on them, they are macgregor “Mike souchak” 950 set of clubs. In pristine condition and they feel so pure. I shot a 79 with them last year.
Didn’t know if they where something special, or if they are cheap throwaway clubs I just so happen to like, anyways if anyone would let me know what I got that would be great
