I don't even know why I still watch these tokyo videos. I have already made myself a plan for 12 days, while only being there for 10 days and yet I'm here.
@ChewsToExplore yes, thats so true. Even doing and watching the same things about tokyo again and again is just awesome! Meanwhile I will also spent 5 days in Seoul, where I haven't planned a single day :=) 3 months left until my journey starts, I hope that everything will work out well 🙏
@2001elham trust me, you don't wanna see that mess of a plan ^-^ I mean in the end it all comes down to what kind of person you are. There are many cardshops I want to explore (many of them in Akihabara for instance), also in Akiba going to a maid Cafe. Doing things like team lab, Disney world, Disney Sea, shibuya sky rooftop, takeshita street, meiji shrine, yoyogi park. Just a few things that came to my mind. It depends in your hobbies as well.. So how long wikk you be staying and will you be based only in tokio or are you also going elsewhere?
Right? That cotton candy was so big I thought it might take flight! And those pancakes? I half expected them to serve me a side of syrup in a hot air balloon!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're glad that our videos make you feel like you're experiencing Tokyo with us. It's an amazing city and definitely worth adding to your bucketlist!
I went to Japan Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka October 2023 and it was hot mid 70s most days I was there for 14 days only one day was chilly low 60s I loved the whole experience so much I’m going back again October 2024 . I travel a lot and I never go to the same place twice but Japan 2nd trip is a must
Thank you so much for the kind words and support to our channel. We truly appreciate it and look forward to you seeing our adventures around the world!
This is my first time subscribing to any channel👍🏾. You and Liv did a great job narrating your experience! Very succinct and informative. I will be going to Tokyo in a few months, this was extremely helpful, thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words and support to our channel! Words like this truly make creating on this plattform worth it for us!I hope you have a safe and amazing time!
We're truly grateful for your kind words! It means a lot to us that you find our videos enjoyable and our vibe chill. Thank you for watching from New Zealand!
Thank you so much! This video helped me tremendously! I did most of these things but my favorite was getting a picture of my recently deceased mother on my coffee at Hatcoffee! Thank you for the recommendation ☺️☺️
Recently came across your channel and am loving your content! You guys seem so chill and exude such good vibes. I look forward to seeing what y'all do next and wishing ya'll the very best on your future endeavors! Just going to leave some advice/tips here for anyone who might be interested: 1. IC Cards. If you're planning on only visting for a short while, I suggest a Welcome Suica (which has cherry blossoms on it) or a Pasmo Passport (which has Sanrio characters). I believe you get either or at both Haneda and Narita Airport. They're valid for 28 days and they work exactly the same as your traditional Suica/Pasmo- for transportation, shopping/purchasing things. And they're so much cuter in my opinion. 2. If you're primarily staying in Tokyo and plan on primarily visiting different cities around the metro area (e.g., Chiyoda, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Taito, Toshima, Ikebukuro, Minato, Meguro, Nakano, Setagaya etc.) please do not purchase a JR Rail Pass. (I['ll give some more context in a bit) Rather, and I'm so glad ya'll did this- get the Tokyo Subway Ticket. Comes in 24/48/72 hour durations, you can purchase multiple of them, unlimited subway rides and is between 4-10$. *These will not work on JR lines and is only exclusive to metro Tokyo. Other regions will have their own version or something very similar to this like Hakone Free Pass for Hakone, Tokyu Line for Yokohama, Amazing Pass for Osaka* 3. If you're planning on doing the golden triangle- Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, it is absolutely still not worth your money to purchase a JR Rail Pass. You're best bet is to just get shinkansen tickets. I really encourage people to use the JR Rail calculator on their website to help determine if getting one would be necessary. (I myself am doing the golden triangle, along side trips to Hiroshima, Kobe, Himeji, Nara, Yamanashi, Kanagawa, Odaiba and a few more, and it still didn't add up to the total cost of the rail pass). 4. Alternatives would be overnight buses and sleeper trains. The prices do vary depending on season and what tier you plan on selecting. If you're thinking about these options it's best to book in advance because they sell out pretty fast. 5. Luggage lockers. Not a sure thing but has usually worked for me. The bigger lockers are the first ones to go so I've found it helpful to store my stuff the night before instead of in the morning. The lockers will only hold your things for 72 hours so I'd only suggest this tip for 2 day trips. 6. Lines. In particular, waiting in line for food. If you're going to a restaurant that offers reservations, do it. Secure your time slot. Otherwise just be aware that there's a good chance you'll be spending a lot of time waiting- especially if it's a popular place. I've waited up to 2 hours just to get into the doorway LOL. Check to see if the restaurant you want to eat at has other locations, you might have a better chance of being seated quicker if it's in a less popular area. In addition, have multiple food spots in mind as backup in case the line is way too long, or they stop taking people. 7. Literally if you want to eat pizza, eat pizza. So what if it's not "traditional". Strangely enough, Japan has some of the best pizzas out there. There are a few pizza spots that are considered to be in the top 100 list. Also, don't feel bad or embarrassed for eating at fast food joints or going to Starbucks. I will purposely go to them while traveling just so I can try exclusive items. I mean where in America would I be able to get strawberry mochi pies from McDonald's or pasta from a Wendy's. Eat wherever makes you happy. 8. A cute, personal souvenir to commemorate your travels is to collect stamps. Stamp culture is huge in Japan. You can find them almost everywhere. The most common places are train stations (eki stamps). You can also find them at tourist centers, observation towers, anime stores, bookshops, markets, and events. I hope you found some of this helpful!
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful tips! We appreciate your support and look forward to bringing you more content. Amazing tips that I will have to agree on! You're the best!
Thank you for your service in the military! It's great to hear that you had a positive experience in Japan and that you're looking forward to visiting again.

As an introvert, I appreciate Japanese sensibility. Considerate and quiet! Know the food and architecture were crazy! Wish I could pick up the language better. Drone view of Mt. Fuji was something I’ve never seen before!
Thank you so much for your comment! It's great to connect with someone who shares the same appreciation for Japanese culture. I also wish I could pick up the language better, but I'm grateful for the experiences I've had so far.

Been waiting for this one! 1. Beautiful video 😍 y’all’s vids always make me feel like I’m right there experiencing these places too. The editing is always on point 💯 2. I love Liv’s non experimental dining palate haha. No actually it’s nice to get an idea of what food is available for us vegans 😊 3. Before traveling, did y’all already have a solid knowledge of Japanese language? & was it challenging to communicate at all? & 4. Can’t wait for the next one! Y’all always deliver
We really appreciate your support and we're glad you find our videos beautiful and immersive. Truly inspires us to keep on creating for you guys. Haha trust me I cannot make Liv eat anything she does not want to eat. However, its great because I know many people are like her as well. Awesome upload, My son and I are heading that way in June, but first stop is 5 days in South Korea 🇰🇷 then fly to Japan 🇯🇵 for 15 days then we fly back to South Korea 🇰🇷 for 2 more days before we fly back home to the UK 🇬🇧, Will watch your other videos for Japan. Again awesome upload,
This was really a good video ,very very good one !! I loved the lake & funicular trip in this video !! And thank you guys for keeping very budget friendly travel videos possible / successful everywhere you go ,especially Japan that helps others / viewers make it happen & their dream come true ,I bet !! As a Japanese person ,I know how to do it budget friendly in Japan ,but I didn't think about that lake trip w a view of Mt.Fuji !! Even though I am a person who loves mountains/ lakes or rivers together, the most ! And you really covered so many places within limited time frames so brilliantly !! 👏 👏👏👍👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇯🇵💕💞
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video and found our budget-friendly travel tips helpful. We'll keep bringing you more exciting content from Japan and beyond!
Thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to me that you appreciate the effort I put into showcasing the lesser-known parts of Tokyo. It is a lot of research and talking to people based on their experiences as well.
I appreciate your input! You're absolutely right, doing thorough research before going anywhere is crucial. I'm glad you were able to find some fun activities despite the lack of initial research.
Thank you so much for all the support to our channel. Maybe we were both trying to find the best ramen spots in Tokyo! SO much amazing places and I hope you had an amazing time!
I really appreciate your feedback! It means a lot to me that you enjoyed the fast pace and engaging filming style. I'll keep working hard to bring you more exciting content in the future!
@@ChewsToExplore I’m mostly impressed by the fact that two young African-Americans (correct me if I’m wrong) actually made the effort to see an Asian country and enjoyed it. I also noticed you took a local train into Tokyo rather than the express NEX, fantastic.
@@nateshf9303 Thank you again. Yes both Native New Yorkers, His family is jamaican in origin, bit by the travel bug! Love exploring the world for as little as possible.
Thank you for your kind words! We need some time to enjoy ourselves first. But I know it will be amazing to take them with us! They make life so much richer!
Thank you for the support to our channel! We only fly in zones that allow us to. That is why there is no drone footage in Tokyo. We did not need a permit to fly while there.
😂😂😂 brotha definitely from NYC ... calling CPS on parents 😂. Your channels is so awesome. I share it with many brothers who Chews(get it) to travel outside 🇺🇸 for something other than women. Great great channel guys
I love your vlog! Thanks for sharing and your honest reviews hihi will really help me in upcoming tour in japan. May i know where did u book thé overnight bus to osaka? Thank u so much
Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm thrilled to hear that my vlog and reviews are helping you with your upcoming tour in Japan. I booked the overnight bus to Osaka through a travel website. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
@@ChewsToExplore thanks for your reply!! Yes i would love to know which site coz im tryng to check which one will work for us if by bus, plane or train(but its expensive so this one is the last option lol) thanks a lot
Thanks, great timing we have a trip there coming in April!I looked at the hotel and it looks like a capsule hotel, do you think it's worth the savings? Come from America we've never stayed in one like that
That's awesome! Our accomodation was not a capsule hotel but we have stayed in a capsule hotel before. Capsule hotels can be a unique experience, especially if you've never stayed in one before. It's definitely worth considering if you're looking to save some money and have a different kind of accommodation during your trip.
In Japan ,there are so~many capsule style types of hotels & businesses hotels at $20--$50/night ranges & they're super clean & lots of amenities come w 'em !! Some freebies ,too !! Some even got hot springs !! You should keep googling ! They're very convenient because they're located right by the train stations or some are connected to train stations even !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇯🇵💕💞
Oh wow I watched the Paris trip awhile ago. How do you do it? That's a lot of travel and time zones...The jet lag has to be horrible.. well you're young but it still has the affect you.
Thank you so much for all the support to our channel. We are blessed to be able to travel all over the world and do not take it for granted. It can be challenging, but I try to make the most of every trip!
Thank you for watching! This trip was indeed in autumn, but I'm sure you'll have an incredible time in March too. Safe travels and enjoy your trip to Japan! 🇯🇵😊
Hey friends! What website y’all find the cheap bus flight? Everything I’m searching shows $50ish bucks for the overnight ride to Osaka from Tokyo. Please advise.
Thank you so much for the support to our channel. We booked the bus tickets early and when it was low season. Maybe it is already sold out and so expensive now
pls suggest 2 night 3 days itinerary from tokyo to tokyo. like after bf depart from tokyo to hakone...visit hakone on day 1, overnight stay at hakone ryokan onsen, next day after bf visit mt.fuji and surroundings, overnight stay at hakone again or near gotemba premium outlet, next day morning after bf shop at gotemba premium outlet then evening come back to tokyo. Is this correct way? and which transport to use. we r considering renting a car? will that be fine? two coples with kids....pls suggest...thanks
When it's time to travel, I'm always grateful for the opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and create lifelong memories. It's truly a blessing!
Thanks for watching and supporting our channel. Like anything else it depends on the time of the year and how early you book. Maybe it was lower season or not last minute when I booked. I would check multiple buses because that was a major way that we saved money
WOW free tickets to Japan on 28k miles?! Right now all airline miles around this type of flight (United, AA) are a minimum of 100k. What travel reward card do you have to get this deal?!
Haha using points is not the easiest thing. But we found close in availability about 4 days before we left. All points are not created equal. We used american airlines miles which are some the best for points redemption value. Who do you have 60,000 points with?
@@ChewsToExplore im not from usa and I have a local credit card connect miles copa airlines. I think usa credit cards especially with american airlines indeed have much better redemption benefits, so lucky 😀 Btw great video, you give such a beautiful vibe
@ChewsToExplore Oh ,I see ! My mom used know a pilot worked for American Airlines, but he has retired now ! Bummer ! Because I wanted to fly on them when he was flying it to go to Argentina or Hawaii !! Thank you for telling me ! I guess you like American Airlines. They've got bad reputations nowadays ! Lol. Worse than the United now ,I believe ! But,yet ,some flyers are loyal to American airlines. I had used them about 7 years ago ,I enjoyed my flight w 'em !! ( from L.A.to S.F.) The foods Olivia was eating looked delicious in this video !! I believe they have very good vegetarian/ vegan meals ,I've seen the rankings recently ! I'm looking forward to fly w 'em someday again ! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🍱🥗🍵💞
I understand ,I had experienced that before w some people kept smiling at me for no reason...,but in this case ,she is a youtuber ,if she doesn't smile much some will say she isn't a happy person or mean looking or even stuck up ,etc. ! Lol. I'll say it's much better for being criticized for smiling too often than never smiling !! Lol. Her nice personality/ happiness for being able to go traveling everywhere in the world is genuine & maybe you don't get that ? 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞

Black out curtains changes the whole aura
Absolutely! Blackout curtains can make such a difference in creating a cozy and peaceful atmosphere in any room.
Thank you for this great video. It was nice to see some of the lesser known parts of Tokyo. How did you do your planning g and research to find them?
Thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to me that you appreciate the effort I put into showcasing the lesser-known parts of Tokyo. It is a lot of research and talking to people based on their experiences as well.
While I definitely recommend a bit more research before going anywhere to avoid trouble and offense, I’m glad you found so many fun things to do.
I appreciate your input! You're absolutely right, doing thorough research before going anywhere is crucial. I'm glad you were able to find some fun activities despite the lack of initial research.
Love your videos! I think we may have been in Tokyo at the same time ☺️
Thank you so much for all the support to our channel. Maybe we were both trying to find the best ramen spots in Tokyo! SO much amazing places and I hope you had an amazing time!

Enjoyed your fast pace and engaging filming style (although non-first-timers to Japan are familiar with these locations).

Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate your support.
Nice video. Can't wait to go! For the drone footage, did you need a permit to fly your drone? I'm thinking on getting one before i go.

Haha I posted this 11 days ago but it was in Early November. It takes a long time to curate the content that I post for you guys!
@@cathernfilms we used 12go.asia, prices fluctuate so being flexible will really help as well!
@@ChewsToExplore What was the capital one deal you mentioned? I have a venture x so wanted to look into that
There was a promotion about hotel stays in tokyo but this was in October when we went. @@mikenfl84
They've got manga capsule hotels ,too !! Lol.
Oh wow I watched the Paris trip awhile ago. How do you do it? That's a lot of travel and time zones...The jet lag has to be horrible.. well you're young but it still has the affect you.

Hey friends! What website y’all find the cheap bus flight? Everything I’m searching shows $50ish bucks for the overnight ride to Osaka from Tokyo. Please advise.
Thank you so much for the support to our channel. We booked the bus tickets early and when it was low season. Maybe it is already sold out and so expensive now
Was the train complicated? I really want to go this April but the train station system seems overwhelming since I’m coming to NRT airport 😅
No it’s easy to coordinate just use google maps
pls suggest 2 night 3 days itinerary from tokyo to tokyo. like after bf depart from tokyo to hakone...visit hakone on day 1, overnight stay at hakone ryokan onsen, next day after bf visit mt.fuji and surroundings, overnight stay at hakone again or near gotemba premium outlet, next day morning after bf shop at gotemba premium outlet then evening come back to tokyo. Is this correct way? and which transport to use. we r considering renting a car? will that be fine? two coples with kids....pls suggest...thanks
Thank you so much for your support to us. Three is so much to do but your itinerary sounds great! It covers some must-visit spots around Tokyo.
I’m going to be in Tokyo and Osaka what train pass do you recommend?
We took the bus from Tokyo to Osaka, check out the osaka video as well th-cam.com/video/U9abb3PF-_8/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgwSNE5piEE8qFMmGwt4AaABAg
As a tourist which city is better to visit? New York vs Tokyo?
I am from New York so I am bias, why decide and choose both haha
Сould you share the web-site where you bought nightbus tickets from Tokyo to Osaka?
Thank you for the support. The prices depend on availability and the season as well
43 dollars per night is pretty cost-efficient. I pay about 120 per night, but during cherry blossom.
Yes it was cool for what it was, got the job done but not during high season like cherry blossom
It’s sure it’s fun seeing all of these majestic places around the world. What do you always look forward to when it’s time to travel?
When it's time to travel, I'm always grateful for the opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and create lifelong memories. It's truly a blessing!
Did'u enjoyed JAPAN?
OK thank'u come to JPN.
What do you think about come buck to JPN again ?

5 AM is the new 9 AM! Time to rise and shine, or at least attempt to shine! 😆
@@ChewsToExplore you definitely shined as bright as it gets ^^
I gotta ask, are you sure the bus ticket frm tokyo to osaka only $17? Becasue i checked it's about $70
Thanks for watching and supporting our channel. Like anything else it depends on the time of the year and how early you book. Maybe it was lower season or not last minute when I booked. I would check multiple buses because that was a major way that we saved money
Huge mistake not to get the Ippudo ramen for yourself too. The non vegan options are sooooo good

WOW free tickets to Japan on 28k miles?! Right now all airline miles around this type of flight (United, AA) are a minimum of 100k. What travel reward card do you have to get this deal?!
Thats a one way flight and it all depends on availability and season. We booked with AA and like 4 days before the flight with close in availability
I wonder is bentisuru pancakes are better than flippers
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your curiosity and interest in comparing different pancakes. Let's find out together!
Tokyo train pass $10 per day? like a 24h ticket?
I believe it was $10 for the 3 day pass

Thank you for the support!
28,000 gets you a plain ticket to tokyo? Woww how. I have 60,000 and I cannot even buy upgrade with that (star alliance) How? 😢

Did you go from Kyoto to Fuji-Q? ^^
No we went from tokyo to Fuji-Q
i dont get how you got this flight for so cheap
We used our airline points to get here for $5 per person
I just looked up with my advantage card and it’s like… 336k miles….
Which airlines did you guys take ? 💜
We flew american Airlines!
