*Love it!! I used to use a propane grill and after using my Weber, the food just tastes so much better and the temp **MyBest.Kitchen** control is so easy! Will never use a propane grill again!*
I've been using my Classic for years and it still works great, but this one does have my interest. Edit: Just checked and it's $900. I think I'll keep enjoying the Classic for now.
Certainly if you already have the classic, you are set! Some cool new features on this one, but not different enough to replace the classic... which will last a lifetime as it is.
Yeah, especially since I upgraded my classic to the stainless grids and bought the thermometer to add to it, so it's got some of the functionality of the 360 that it didn't start with.
I was considering this but for the price it needs to be perfect. My old $40 Sears clearance grill has an easy pullout ash tray on the bottom and the side shelves simply flip down. Two features I love and can't go without. I also miss my uniflame with an ash catch cup on the bottom you just scrape to and pull out.
I use a $199 char-broil made in China from Lowes. It will last 2-3 years before rusting out, but for that price I can purchase them as needed, and I've won championships on that thing.
If you use charcoal briquettes, like Kingsford, then yes. If you use lump charcoal, you can reuse whatever is left over from your last cook, so long as it doesn't get wet.
Wish the 360 had a wood pellet hopper add on attatchment! With 1/4" thick aluminum and the fine tuning of the vents, it looks like she'd be temp stable. The hinged rack is genius btw! Someone put some passion into engineering these! It's on my wish list!!😍
The stainless grill and grate will quickly brown and then start to rust from what I've seen in many reviews pf PL grills. Also, other reviewers have commented that since the grill is at the same height as the walls of the grill, people need to be carful when using a spatula to flip meats that they do not push the meat off off the grill onto the ground. Seems like a simple redesign to lower the grill a half inch would cure that. Lastly, I cannot understand why PKL does not put indicator marks on their circular vent knobs and tubes so you know how open you have set the vents. Again, a simple change in their castings and injection moldings would take care of that.
6 Questions/Comments: 1. The stainless steel grill & charcoal grates - these remind me of cheap Weber BBQ's, rather than what I would expect on a relatively expensive charcoal BBQ. Stainless only looks on new grills. But after a few uses, no matter how hard you try cleaning them, they get coated with "crud" and look bad from then on. Would much rather having cast iron (or cast aluminum?). This grill isn't cheap. Deserves better. 2. Why are the side shelves made out of material that will melt if you put something hot on them, such as a pan you've had on the grill to make sauces, melt butter, etc.? 3. Speaking of sauce pans, seems odd that PK did not include a flat space on the top of the unit to set small sauce pans to melt butter, etc. They could change their casting to move their logo from the top of the unit down to the front, and then add a flat space (or even with a raised circle that a sauce pan could fit in) for that. This is a small grill, and I expect people would appreciate a place to put a small sauce pan (along with shelves that wouldn't melt when you put a hot pan on them). 4. Vent controls - seems odd there are no markings on the vents to indicate what position (closed, quarter or half open, etc.) they are vents. I imagine owners will figure it out after a while, but still seems odd that PK didn't include indicators. 5. Wheels - the original PK has larger diameter wheels compared to the 360. From years of experience pushing Weber Genesis grills around my backyard. I can tell you what a pain small wheels are. They get caught in cracks in concrete, bricks patios, etc. IMO, PK could have just used the larger diameter wheels in its original model. 6. Rotisserie - Am I correct that there is no provision to mount a rotisserie on this? If so, pretty odd for a relatively expensive unit.
PK 360 is made in CHINA! Had I known that when I purchased it I likely would not have bought it. I have an original pk grill and I actually like it more than my 360, I just wish it was bigger. They did a few things better with the 360 like raising it higher off the ground and recessing the cooking grate so your food doesn't slide off when trying to flip it, and the grates are 304 stainless and have a better hinge setup. But the 360 is harder to clean because the bottom is not flat, it has humps and ridges that trap the ash, the aluminum vent covers will melt and warp, and the once the ash piles up on top of the vent it falls to the side and starts to block the airflow. I'm not a big fan. I would have preferred a bigger, scaled up original with the better recessed cooking grate and new grate hinge.
Yeah, if only they could ditch the pedestal and run with a Weber Performer-style cart setup, so you’d have a smoother bottom to accommodate an integrated ash sweeper and catcher. It would be much less portable, but for customers who prize portability, there’s the PKGo. If they worried less about portability, they could also make it larger, maybe 400-something square inches. I can always dream...

That's a really well edited video that isn't too long, and gets the point across!
Thanks :)
My Dad had a PK in 1968. Said he got it at the PX in Saigon. Had it for many years. I remember the chicken he smoked on it. Legendary.
That's awesome!

Yeah I was thinking at $900 you may as well get an Egg
Love all the features of this amazing grill.
So you guys carry the PK Franklin Edition Charcoal grill.

At 2:17 , were those meatballs you where grilling?
What are the dimension of the grill?
Thanks.
Cooking grid dimensions: 22 1/2 X 15"
Are these grills safe? I’ve read that heating aluminum is toxic.
Well youre a moron so..
Does it require fresh charcoal every use? I’ve been using gas a long time. Thanks

Great illustration and demonstration. Awesome grill. Too bad they don't sell it at Home Depot, or Lowes.

These are great ideas. Thanks for watching!
The four vent design is genius.
We agree!
Ball valve inspired!
I didn't know PK existed. Always been a Weber guy, but the cast alluminium is a selling point for me.
Check them out!
How thick is the cast aluminum capsule?
1/4 of an inch

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts about the PK360. You are correct about the rotisserie -- no provision to mount.
Definitely a nice, good looking grill... but I have two classics that I should have for awhile. Good video... Thanks!
Yeah, we love the classic as well!
Looks like charcoal clean out will be a pain.
danbsc nah. It's aluminum, it won't rust, just take a water hose to it.
Pull the plug and hose it down! Easier than any Weber or comparable grill on the market
It’s a bit of a pain but the grill is so well built I over look that.
What is the length and width of the cooking area?
24 13/16 X 15 13/16 Inches
VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!
Are these made in the US?
I'm pretty sure the 360 is made in China while the Classic is US made
BBQBOY76 I concur.

nice looking gril
Too small for me. Need about 500-600 sq.feet of surface
You can only cook over so many burning sheds or small houses before the fire department gets suspicious.
@@SynMonger LOL yes I meant inches.
over 50 phone calls to pk grills no answer.
That's unfortunate you can't get ahold of them. You can absolutely give us a call and hopefully we can help. BBQGuys Customer service: 877-743-2269
I don't believe that. I had a problem with FedEx destroying my grill. I have spoken with Shannon several times. She's an amazing customer service rep.
