Eden's Guardian Demo First Impressions - The Next Blasphemous?

I've seen a lot of discussion regarding Eden's Guardian and how it's another Blasphemous clone. How does it hold up? Let's play through the demo and find out.

Looks nice and smooth, after both Blasphemous and Last Faith I will try this after release. I wish it'll have a good lore and music too.

I think this game will be good but it'll fall short of greatness like Blasphemous and Last Faith. At least with the demo, it's more of a platformer than a true souls-like

Looks ok. Wish there was some lore involved in the demo. If it has a $20 price point, I would probably pick it up

Yeah that's a good point - I have no idea what the story is supposed to be about. The combat is my biggest gripe, it's just really flat without a parry/counter dynamic. No executions either. Seems like the entire focus is on platforming and the sword-throwing mechanic, but I'm just not seeing why so many people are giving it such high praise (especially when comparing it to Blasphemous)

Have you tried Nine Sols? It looks so cool and demo was fun also. Though they did make demo much shorter I think.

Bruh, Nine Sols is awesome! Incredible combat mechanics and the Taoist cat protagonist is pretty great. It'll be my next demo video for sure
