The Sarmiento & Centella is just Tier 2. Sadly I put all the points onto Ruego Al Alba. Hopefully this may answer if the question of why my dmg is lower compared to other videos that have done this kind of run is lower.
yeah I had no ideea either ... didnt know why I stunned him once - I thought it was my alterpieces chance of stun or something but it was the ball I guess - and it deals sweet dmg too
Yeah I could have sworn this dude was cheating somehow because I feel like a lot Eviterno's attacks can't be dodged by sliding but I guess they can if your timing is literally flawless.
yep pretty close to how I did it too - it's very satisfying to parry his atacks with dual blades and ruego al alba ... and now with mea culpa dlc I finished him by blocking his atacks with mea culpa and using the dodge + atack too at the same time like you did in the clip ... it's even more satisfying that you can block and counter atack the rogue penitent too
I wreck his first form with perfect...however that second form Ive never even gotten him to mid health...He gives you no room to breathe & maybe I have the wrong rosary and statutes set up?
I don't have any rosary beads equipped to ensure a fair fight, for Statues however I only have the statue that gives 10% dmg to all of our weapons. (Edit: typo)
Sorry late reply.. I think that was s that made me not have contact damage.. I didn't have that kind of statue nor know that kind of statue existed in Blasphemous 2
@@Rosariach. yes that’s what i thought, i beat him yesterday in maybe 7 seven tries with ruego al alba and it was the weapon that dealt the more damage for him
@@Pere_Gascoigne It deals more damage if you put more marks of martyrdom ah aha ah! like for example the parry being given more damage! so whenever if i have to use ruego al alba i would always try to have boss in center or do smth risky so atleast it doesnt feel too easy, but eh its still easy xD
@@Rosariach. fortunately i used this weapon at the very end because i thought it was the worst weapon, turns out it’s the best lol. Now time for the platinum trophy for me
@@Pere_GascoigneI see! well anything that can be close to mea culpa to the first game could prove to be powerful! Now aside from that xD goodluck on your attempt for platinum! you can do it!
How long did it take you to be that good against this boss? I think I killed Eviterno within two days and I didn't think he was an easy boss at all. I got used to the first phase, but the second one is very different, he moves fast and then he even brings the Archicofradía too, so he killed me a lot. I used Veredicto for the first phase and Sarmiento & Centella for the second phase, but I completely forgot to parry. Actually I parried a lot in the original Blasphemous and very little in the 2nd one, very noob of myself, but it is what it is.
For my first kill it took me an hour to kill it, a run with like full upgraded flasks ofc and Statues as well as beads for resisting the damage types eviterno dealt. Though when it came to getting to my current level of skill in the fight, it took me a few days to read the mechanics of the boss and to find a way to effectively deal damage or prevent risks if any. It's usually a bit hard if you haven't had a history on playing these kinds of games. Best way to study a whole fight is to slowly chip the boss hp whilst trying your best not to die. As you can see 2nd phase atks are fast but, it's nothing if you know the combo well enough(combo is the vertical slash then followed by a teleport horizontal slash which is fast as well, and then a charge up attack which is evadeable. Archicofradia screen time was the one that threw me off often times because it has been long since I encountered benedicta dash move followed by like the incorruptible flesh guy, odon's last attack threw me off everytime before. Anyways its just about watching attack patterns really. But I'm sure you'll be able to get it as well! Keep going!
@@Rosariach.Thanks for your answer, that's great! you really did an amazing job! I know these games are about learning how the enemy moves, and I love the type of game that challenge my skills, I played Dark Souls 1 and 3 and other games alike of course, but I never watch gameplays until I beat them myself because I feel it kinda spoils the surprise and the strategy for me. I'm pretty excited to fight them without knowing a thing about the enemy and then improvise on the spot. The first time I saw the Archicofradía I was literally laughing because I thought I was getting the pace of the fight, learning the combos and all that and then there was that black screen with all those moves that came out of nowhere. I just thought it was so funny, but I had to put the controller down and finish it the next day. Anyway, thanks for the advice and for giving me hopes of defeating him flawlessly like you did! great video and great reply! cheers!

@@Rosariach.Thank you, it is really nice to find TH-camrs to interact with in a friendly and respectful manner. I was wondering, have you ever played Hyper Light Drifter? I would describe HLD as a mix between the original top-down Zelda games, Hotline Miami and Another World. Very fun in my opinion, great music, beautiful art and it is also challenging at times. Well, if you haven't I'll just say they never tell you anything explicitly, you only get to learn things about the game and the world from pictograms and from an alien language (you might be able to learn what some words look like after playing).

@peterc504 ohhh!! Good job on finishing the fight! I'm sure it was very satisfying when you finally did it, appreciate the effort Peter! Well done!
@peterc504 yeah basically it's about knowing what to do on the 2nd phase, 1st phase is pretty much a joke to some but when 2nd comes, ahahahhahaha
