I always love when creators find an obscure Steam porn game to throw in a joke but "Aristocunts II Re:Erection" takes the cake as one of the most out-there titles I've seen yet. Also, I'm glad you highlighted that remakes can be good to update not just visuals but gameplay. The path Final Fantasy is going down understandably has frustrated people who want an actual remake, but when games like Resident Evil or Persona adjust based on the gameplay restraints imposed by either the hardware or just prevailing philosophy that's a great thing. TH-cam just recommended me your Hitman video and your pacing and delivery were so pleasant I had to see what else you've made. I'm so surprised your channel is so small; you make great stuff and I'm glad I got to see one of your latest videos so early.
Had the exact same P5 experience! Started playing it on PS4 a while ago, then eventually realized that there's a Royal edition. Looked it up out of curiosity, also thinking it's maybe just a DLC or has some little extra content for fans or something. Nope, it's the whole game, plus additional content, new characters, new storyline... I felt a bit bummed that I didn't see that before buying P5, stopped playing a while after, and then maybe two years later I got a gaming laptop and started playing more there instead of the PS4. Used that opportunity to buy the Royal edition and never regretted it. Also RE4 Remake is (aside from BG3) my favourite game ever. After playing the RE2 remake I got into the Resident Evil fandom and wanted more, but after trying the original RE4 I just felt like it wasn't for me, I couldn't get used to the controls and how it all worked. When the remake came out I was absolutely ecstatic and immediately bought it, which is rare since I ususally wait for a sale. It's so so good and Leon is so handsome I cry
I do agree, the game industry (in a very similar route as Hollywood right now) is focusing on bigger and expansive entries in return for greater revenue, honestly at one point I could just be happy with dlcs of existing games instead of having a remake or remaster every year. God knows what I would give for a DLC of red dead 2
Kind of depressing in a wag to see RER2 be considered necessary. I wouldn't say that RE2 or RE2R are better than one another bexause they're such different experiences that have pros and cons over one another. To hear that the original is viewed as "outdated" feels so weird to me because as someone who has always enthusiastically played both new and old games it feels pretty timeless. You play a game like RE1R and you witness a game that is nigh flawless and it is in no small part due to the fixed camera angles and cintrol style. To hear that changing the camera angle is viewed with some level of necessity or that the design is considered less worthy for modern audiences because it isn't contemporary with modern AAA standards is sad. I'll always appreciate that there are tons of indie studios still making amazing games based upon the classics of yesteryear that seek to polish or refine those conventions rather than treat them as disposable. I totally understand that for the average player it can feel offputting, but it is a shame that because video games are an interactive medium it is harder to get those crowds more on board with appreciating older games as timeless. I can pop in an old CD or movie for someone and they can watch it all the same even if special effects, dialogue or more ate contemporary. But if someone boots up an old game and (understandably) doesn't want to learn the controls there isn't much I can do to try and convert them. I guess that's one useful part of streams/lets plays because it lets people who don't have access or interest in playing these stellar games the ability to still experience them. Rambling over lol. This was a great video and I hope I don't come off harsh or snobby c:
Hey, since you mentioned it. It's a bit of a misconception that the games industry is in crisis. Most companies are recording record profits and their margins are as healthy as could be (even Ubisoft). The reason they're laying off employees is because they're copying the sillicon valley playbook of riding stock boom and bust cycles. Moon channel has an excellent video covering it. Check it out if you're interested.
I can't really say something that you didn't say in the video, but it's always nice to play remade games you do not own (or are older than 10 years), but suck when you already own the original (caugh caugh Persona)
The persona 3 stuff is why im never playing it until they get their shit together in one place. I watched the movies(yes there were movies) and those had the base story, so I ain't buying a game until I can play as FEMC and also have the epilogue.
To me a Remaster is hay the game look better now and we fix that bug that breaks the game if you jump Think Halo combat evoled new grapichs same game A remake is When you start teraing the game a part for scraps and use them to make a """"better""" game Now with stuff you could not do when the game was made a diffent combat system 3 moving NPC on screen at the same time what they are doing with FF7 Its a totaly new game becuase the old one could probly fit on a usb stick and people want a bigger story And then a Defintive game of the year Ultermiait Finale complate verustion is The game we made like a year ago with all the DLC and add ons everything in one package
but should remakes be the definitive versions of the game because persona 3 reloaded and resident evil 4 remake seem like incomplete games because of the fact they are selling the dlc back to you as well
I don't need remakes. I am satisfied with remaster or re-release of a old game. I am more interested what they did in the old days, how they did things, what ideas they had and can see the same things in today new games or have ideas that was never seen again for good or worse. Playing the old favourite games as remake is nice, but sometime they lost some of there "charm".
As a Naughty Dog dickrider and a huge fan of TLOU in general, I'm now super curious as to why you said you'd be at any risk for giving your opinion on part II? :000 Is it because you don't want its haters hating you? Or because you don't want its fans hating you? For the record I think you're obviously allowed to have opinions lmfao plus your content is really funny and really well made so who cares if you don't like my favorite game /gen
Most underrated TH-cam channel!
Also first lol
Can’t wait for the 4K remake to this amazing masterpiece

I hope the man never remakes Windowledge 🙏🙏🙏
Imagine Remaking a Remake of a Remake. Imagine.
That's what i've been thinking about lately😂
Always, excited when I see a windowledge video in my feed :) Also, "Creative Reset" is another one for the reboot term bin.

Just found your channel, love your stuff man, keep it up!

I think it makes sense that now is the time for remakes, considering we've just had the years that were remakes of 2020
Great video apart from the Redfall slander, next your going to say that Exoprimal wasn’t good!

I enjoy the occasional remake, but Last of Us Part 2 definitely didn't need one. Great video, chief 👍
It’s not a remake

comment for engagement
Best remake to date has to be Pokemon Gold & Silver -> Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver

Funniest intro
I have never and maybe never will play a remake. Not gonna die on that hill or whatever, but fuck remakes.
And yet there's no Bloodborne remake. Screw you Sony
All sequels are remakes but with new stuff

where's GTA V and its remasters?
2nd
Something about your videos makes them very hard to follow. Maybe if you’re speaking style, I think it’s pretty quick.
Oh I like how he presents information. It feels quite organic to me
