Proton should offer premium AWD!
No one knows how big a difference awd makes compared to 2wd until you live with it!
The minute we start to compare, we start to complain. There are no free lunch in this world. It's better to budget before you buy. The X70 is the best value for money in its segment regardless :P.
I hope you do the review again = this time, really go off-road = like going to sandy beach = ladang kelapa sawit = jalan lori balak; etc.

May I know the adaptive cruise control in the premium variant allows the car to crawl in a traffic jam, just like Volvo and Honda sensing?
No , Proton ADAS is at level 1 , Volvo is at level 2 , is higher , while Honda sensing have low speed follow , X70 ACC will only in function above 30KM , once below it will deactivate , pricing factor

What is stopping you from saying the seats are PVC fake leather or synthetic leather?
Actually those are leatherette which is like those in crv or cx5 which is good in durability, it's a kind of synthetic leather
Thanks for the review. How about its cabin noise? It seems like a bit noisy in video. Also if its AWD then it should have ample ground clearance to bear mild off road driving. What's its ground clearance?
163mm, so it's not that high and certainly not recommended for severe offroad usage.

@@KonWaiLuen So does it perform good in moderate off road conditions. It looks higher ground clearance than Honda BRV but theoretically its having less.
Is the AWD any good off-road please? Not mad off-road, but needs to stand up to some basic tracks etc.

noticed tht u tapping on & off when switching lane, there's no one touch function for the signal stalk?
secondly, how does it fair against its higher spec 19' sibling when it comes to high speed bends on the highway (resistance to bodyroll, bcoz i ve driven the topspec 19', undoubtedly the roll is minimal but i believe its due to the lower profile tyres tht contributing to that)
It has one touch indicators, but because two out of my three cars don't have it, I sometimes forget this feature in test cars. Curiously, I always forget my E39 doesnt have this feature. Haha
I don't feel a significant difference in stability. Difference in ride comfort was far more noticeable.

I would say they thought ppl who buy premium and advance equipment will hardly going thru the rough road conditions. If I want to buy x70, I would go for premium for but ditch the absurd 19 wheel for 18.
I am failed to understand why AWD is not having panoramic sunroof and ample ground clearance. If your vehicle doesn't have good ground clearance its AWD system is not that much useful as going off road requires bigger wheelbase. They could have installed a system which could raise the vehicle when its required and avoid potholes. In addition they could add some more options with AWD to make it more attractive for example they could have added sunroof, better ground clearance, adoptive cruise control etc and charge additional price for these functions.
Overall the car is nice.. However, PROTON should look into replacing the ugly steering wheel. It looks bulky. Try to take Audit, VW or BMW on how to make nice looking steering wheel.
The superbike noise was annoying from 7.10 till 8.35..........
This guy is like the most basic reviewer of the car. "it's pretty alright".. "more smoother".. "nice experience".. Nothing technical at all.
Heard that x70 fuel consumption quite high and bodyroll very significant compared to rivals. And as usual after sale not improved at all. I think people concern on the price rather than long run.
Having a AWD Premium variant :-
-Consume more fuel as it is carrying a rear wheel axle and it contributes to the car's weight being heavy.
- The car doesn't produce big amount of horsepower or torque to have all 4 wheels to be driven, it produces adequate power for it's segment.
-If there is a AWD Premium variant are they going to take the car out for off road? If they do so where? Nowadays all the surface is tarmac, if so most probably an uneven surface or undeveloped area, like kampung?
Final verdict: Having a AWD Premium it will be a waste of money for production and labor time.
