I just found your channel recently and really like your videos. I'm a bigger guy like you and watching your videos gives me encouragement that this is something I can actually pull off. Thank you for that.
I picked up a bunch of accessories from watching your videos. Now I run across this one as I'm looking for a bike rack for two Aventon Aventures. This was extremely helpful in making my final decision. Thank you!!!!
Purchased, assembled and installed this rack today and put my two Lectric XPremiums on it! Great rack and a great video brother. Thanks. Subscribed. Try lifting your front wheel into the outer cradle first by holding your rear brake and popping a wheelie then put the rear wheel into the inner rear cradle then move your front wheel into the front inner cradle. Only lift half the weight at a time
Hey Gary, thanks for the review on the rack. Have a question in a different area, being I just ordered an Adventure 2 in which this video help greatly in the transporting of the bike area. The question is rather simple. You did mention that ya a big guy etc. and most people that review bikes or products associated with bikes (like the rack), few if anyone mentions to what degree (PSI) they inflate their tires, so I'm asking, "How much PSI do you put in your Adventure tires?" Being above average in that weight area myself, I'm curious.
Thank you for watching!!! My tires are rated for 30 PSI and I always run at that level. I am on flat paved ground mostly with a little dirt and gravel here and there and haven't run into any issues yet.
@@GaryCantrell Ok, cool. My other ebike is the Lectric XP 1.0 that I used as my first ebike not knowing if I'd like the ebike thing and have had it since around 2019. It has 20 x 4 a tires and I used to run them at around 20 PSI. So I was curious because of the size difference in tires. Thanks from response.
Do you know the difference between the Hollywood Racks Se and Se2? Some say the SE2 is the latest version, but I see all kinds of conflicting information. Just want to make sure I get the strongest version for my ebikes. Thanks!
I have a Model X and the hitch guide says not to exceed 120 lbs. so if this rack is 56lbs and my Aventure is about 77lbs - I'm already at 133 lbs. Wouldn't I be exceeding the weight capacity recommended by Tesla?
If you have 2 bikes then you're probably right there at 200, my math could be a little off on that. I prefer to air on the side of caution and if I were in that situation I'd want to stay under. Better safe than sorry.
@@GaryCantrell agreed two bikes are rules out but even one bike is getting hard for me. My aventure aventon bike is 77lbs and even with one bike I'm 130lbs. How strict is the 120lbs limit?
@@GaryCantrell will go on the back of my 2004 Buick Regal. I had to get the 1 1/4 inch. Hitch on the car. So the bike shop ordered me The Hollywood rack.
The Sport Rider says it works with step through models that have a height of at least 15.5" at the top of the step through. I have a regular and a large Aventure and they both measure 18.5" at that location. I haven't bought the Sport Rider (not SE) yet, but plan to based on this.
I HAVE ONE AND HATE IT. The part that holds the wheel are getting loose and won’t tighten, the bikes sway and wobble excessively, it’s too flimsy for two e-bikes.

Thank you for watching! I really appreciate the kind words!!
I just received mine; watching this video reaffirms that this was the best rack for my Aventon Adventure bikes! Thank You Sir!
Glad you enjoyed it!! Have fun with your new rack and thanks for watching!!

Thank you so much for watching and for the tips i will give it a try!
You can run cable to safetychain loops on hitch that way cant steal the rack snd bikes
Yo!! Thank you so much for the tip. Seriously. I'm going to start doing that. Thanks for watching too!!
Great video, I'm looking for a rack for my new Aventon. Thanks!
Thank you for watching!!
Young bike rack. Solo or 2 bike choices. Amazon or buy direct.
Good price, well made.
Excellent for 4" wide tire.
great info, thanks. Do you like the Aventure for off-road (like rail-trails)?
Thanks for watching!! And Yes I prefer off road.
Love my Hollywood Rack!!
It's so good!!!!! Thanks for watching!!
Nice video Gary, can I request a video based on the exterior with all the mods you made ty.
I will look into that. Thank you!!
Like the way you “tight down” your bike. 👍🏻😊
thanks
thank you for watching!
I'm going to get one also this summer I have a Giant Cypress dx m disc 2019 but it's torture on hills and long distance riding ,lol
Nice! I can only imagine. Gotta watch out for them hills lol!
Got the same one love it! My bike is heavy still no problem.
Awesome! Thank you for watching!!
Hey, great video! Have you tried fitting the aventuré inside the rav4 with the seats down? Do you know if it would fit?
Thank you for watching! I had a flat tire once and had to put it in the back. It does fit, a little snug though.
Great video brother! Eventually I’ll have my own…hopefully!
Thanks brudda!! You gotta pick one up
@@GaryCantrell you’re welcome!
Will the frame hook work on a TotGuard square frame about 2 inches wide
Is there some kind of drop hitch to use with this rack I have ford f-250 with add a leaf on rear slightly higher than normal
What kind of range are you getting with your bike? I’m interested in a Aventon too. Great video!
I get roughly 30 miles!
Just checking, you mentioned leaving your bike on the rack. Do you rec any anti-thef system?
Thanks for watching!! I cover that in this video: th-cam.com/video/mbNMqbSjSis/w-d-xo.html

I can't speak to the first gen, I looked up on Amazon just to confirm and the one I purchased is the SE2. It's rated at 80lbs per bike slot
how is it in the hitch? Is there a way to keep it tight in the hitch? Does it fold up?
Very firm in the hitch. There is a spinning handle that can tighten further and the bike rack does fold up for a more compact look.
Niiiice. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you!!
Young bike rack Sole with ramp, is best, under $300. Secure tire hold, upright bar, holfs securely.
With Aventon Sinch, step thru.
Thanks
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!!
Can you per say use the lock instead of the rachet
I don’t see why not

Is there one for the step through aventon 2 bike rack, can not find any.??

This is good if you can pick up bike like that. I can't to old and weak. That's why I bought ebike
I hear ya! They do offer ramps for various bike racks and that could be a better option depending on your circumstances. Thanks for watching!!!
You know your rack bag is on backwards?
You are the very first to tell me lol!
No ramp for loading? This bike is yoo heavy yo load and unload as show in this video.
No thats one feature I wish that rack had. My back would thank me for that ha!
Great rack but my Aventure is a step thru.
They have an adapter that will work for the step thru
Very nice, but very pricey
What do you think about the WILDROAD Hitch Bike Rack? Look it up any info you find, good or bad let me know. I'm looking also.

Young bike rack, tray style to hold bike, upright bar, easy use ramp.
No wobble when driving.
You said rad 4 ?!! Looking like my aventure.
No RAV4, thats my type of vehicle ;) Thanks for watching!
