yo im having problems. im using your BoP mouseover macro, and the Freedom macro, but ONLY the freedom macro works. Theyre typed perfectly and correctly. but whenever i mouseover my party member to use bop, it greys out and doesnt work
I use this kind of macro that enables both the mouseover effect and the oldschool arena effects for utility spells (note that you can't have modifier keybinds in order for this macro to work properly). I use it with auto self cast activated. EDIT: I realized a problem after, as I originally wrote it, the modifiers didn't work. You have to put the [nomod, @mouseover] line LAST and not before the other two, otherwise only the mouseover will work. But, if you do that, the macro works amazingly. Very useful for both bgs and arenas. #showtooltip /cast [mod:shift, @party1] Blessing of Freedom /cast [mod:ctrl, @party2] Blessing of Freedom /cast [nomod, @mouseover, exists] Blessing of Freedom; Blessing of Freedom I use that for freedom, sac, bop, flash of light, wog, cleanse toxins, etc. that way i don't have to change macros from arena and bg, but i still have the option of not having to move my mouse during arena games.

You say you have tested using reckoning before sentence and it does more damage? Is this correct or am I having a brain fart? Would the damage increase not drop off first? Could this be a bug I wonder 🤔
for me it's makes more sense to use Execution Sentence into Final Reckoning, otherwise when the hammer falls, it will land when final reckoning is already off (due to the time difference of the global cooldown). Am I rite or not?
@@federockstar82 That's exactly what i was thinking when I read the tooltip for the first time, It does not make sense to have the 50% damage increase for hammer still work if the Reckoning buff falls off before the hammer hits them, but that is what is happening right now. Also if you try it the other way it will not register that you have applied Reckoning if you already casted Execution sentence on the target, it just doesn't realize and won't give you the damage increase BUT it does realize all other holy power abilities if you use say a verdict after you cast reck then it will be a buffed hit so it's entirely exclusive to hammer. Why I am annoyed is because I like to take pvp seriously and in the past they stated that we will no longer benefit from effects like this if they fall off of the target prior to the damage being dealt and a good example I can give is frost mages, you used to be able to nova of pet freeze and cast a frostbolt or a lance and even if they broke the freeze early it would benefit from the shatter passive regardless if you casted it wile they were frozen. They changed that so that things like that don't work anymore and if you try that now you will not get a shatter off. That is just ONE example i can think of that makes this hammer/reck situation seem like a bug.
Very helpful! I am sort of a new player. Question: I see you have the BoA trinket to remove slows, is it a thing for people to use heirloom trinkets in pvp just for their use effect? and its more worth it than the stats of a higher ilvl piece? Sorry i am new to this stuff :P
In PvP you need a gladiators medallion type of trinket so you can remove CC from yourself. Its worth giving up a DPS trinket for these in PvP. You can get 2 versions of this trinket, one is the BoA piece and the other is from the PvP Corrupted aspirant vendor in Stormwind, or the PvP vendors in boralus/ mugambala if horde. In rated PvP you cant use the BoA version so I have since swapped to the gladiators medallion to remove CC from the vendors.
So, I noticed it is common to proc passive reckoning in the initial build up. If we start the burst as soon as we have 5 holy power, this creates an issue where judgment is not off CD in time to use after Execution Sentence. Is it worth intentionally delaying the burst for 2 seconds or so to guarantee the second judgment is ready? Or does it make more sense to do Wake of Ashes prior to the second judgment if judgment is still on CD?
You should generate 5 holy power, this would make it so judgment is already applied to the target, then you seraphim, use blade of justice if its available, if not use 1 crusader strike, then you wings, final reckoning, execution sentence, judgment/wake/TV depending on how much holy poweryou have.
so im newish to wow is there a way to make a spam macro for your main 3 abilitys u use all on cd so it just uses them then uses auto attack till its off cd just tryin to clear up my bars

In one of your other videos, you mentioned not taking Execution Sentence in favor of the buffed to Templar's Verdict because people typically don't last long enough for ES to go off. Is that still true? Or do you still think ES is worth it?
Its really preference in BGs. Execution is definitely the better for general use but if you have insane gear and can two tap people with back to back templars then you arnt going to find many execution sentence opportunities.
Rets get access to minor conduits that help with movement speed along with options from covenants like nightfae. That coupled with increased ranged damage from legendaries and hammer of wrath + kyrian or necrolord ranged damage or nightfae teleport we are pretty much fine mobility wise in shadowlands!

@@noichannel233 In my 11 years of playing Ret I dont think ive ever run into issues with having low damage in PvE. Sims and the like are all unrealistic when you are playing with real people who screw up their rotation, arnt as good, or youre in different single or multitarget situations and can outperform others. People always tell me in mythics or in raids theyre surprised at my damage, im just as surprised at them when they think any particular spec is bad in PvE. I was able to do mythic 18s and 20s on my survival hunter during BFA which people thought was really bad spec and I was able to top a lot of the time. Dont let a meter detract you from what you want to play!

Get 5 holy power with the target having both judgment and normal reckoning on the target, use seraphim, avenging wrath, final reckoning execution sentence, judgement, wake of ashes, templars, blade of justice, templars, then continue normal rotation or use empyrean procs if you have any.

Because when you use @player line in the macro it means it will try to cast it at yourself, @player is you and target is the enemy. What you want to do is keep them separate and put execution sentence up first, wait about 2 seconds at least and then apply reckoning and that way you will get the danafe boost on your execution sentence when it goes off because both last 8 sec(8sec until execution sentence does it damage and 8sec for the damage increase from reckoning, so 8f you cast reckoning first you will not have the damage increase when it goes off and it will be useless. Keep this in mind and you will slay, you can use a macro that casts reckoning at your cursor location though, just use @cursor instead of @player like /cast @cursor final reckoning, I think the cursor macros are still fine and that's how you can slay people. Just dont make the mistake of putting reckoning up first because execution sentence is now like soul reaper and it doesn't do dot dam like in MoP. There is no way to cast targeted abilities on an enemy from what i know so it's better to not use a macro or just macro reckoning by itself to cast at cursor but you have to mouse over where you want it before you press the macro.

They actually did say a while back they wanted to bring snapshot mechanics back. I think it was the end of legion when they mentioned this so it was a while. Personally I like the snapshotting mechanic because if it was the other way around we would always have to get the last second of execution going off during the final reckoning debuff, what if you got ccd right as execution was about to tick and couldn't get the FR on time. This way it allows us an 8 second window to apply execution sentence and still get the buff from FR
It's exhausting to see other peoples ilvl. Just returned to WoW and have spent the last month trying to catch up with my gear and I'm not even at gear level 100 yet. It sucks that gear matter so much in PvP. When I first returned people had 400.000 more health than me. I basically wasn't allowed to do any pvp the first few weeks. Shit system.
The gearing system is shit but there will be a catch up gear system whenever the prepatch questline comes out. Keep in mind though my Ret capped almost every week since january doing a mythic 15+ for a piece if 130ilvl loot and im still not full 130ilvl. You had to both work and pray to rng gods for good loot in BFA and it was awful. Your best bet is to run mythic+ or normal raiding to gear up quickly. Theres tons of normal groups blowing through the content right now on live.
Also when creating macros remember to place your action in the order of priority. [@focus][@mouseover][@target][@player] The focus and mouse over are the ones I move around the most, say for misdirect I have focus before mouseover since I only ever focus the tank in mythic+ but in BG I have mouseover before focus so if I have a healer on focus but a mage is casting Greater Fireballs I can mouseover the mage and interrupt the cast without removing my focus
I sorta doubt it, a lot of what is making Ret super strong in prepatch is triple avengers might. I dont think blizz will balance around prepatch and Ret isnt nearly as OP in the beta.
It takes a damn miracle for me to kill a ret Paladin. I was dueling this ret on my unholy dk, and this asshole was just killing my minions and healing to full heal with word of glory

Execution sentence with final reckoning functions as a snapshot effect similar to tigers fury bleeds for ferals
