Sup guys! :D With the release of the Shadowlands 9.0 Pre-Patch, I wanted to give you a quick look at the updated Abilities / Stats / Talents & Macros to help you get started on your Arms Warrior in PvP :) I don't go into a whole lot of detail on rotation since hardly anything has changed since 8.3 (feel free to reference that guide if needed) but I hope this helps point you in the right direction. They sould of make Shield Slam to remove a Magic effect from the target like back in Wotlk, that would be cool. The fact that you have to equip a Shield to Shield Block feels like you actually a Warrior who uses everything(in this case a Shield) to survive/lower the Damage Taken.I'd say Spell Reflect should work the same way.
Hey Bajh, amazing video as always. Just wanted to point out something that might be obvious to some and perhaps not so obvious to other that I think you forgot to mention. Execute NO LONGER applies deep wounds on the target, so always gotta br careful to have those deep wounds applied. Had lots of fun watching this, thanks for your effort as always.

Shield block is worth like say when a rogue evasions you if you’re on stun DR it’s good for denying DS heals out of a disarm but mainly I’ve used it when I’m eating a fist of furry. If you don’t stun it you’re doing nothing anyway besides getting punched in a 90% slow may as well shield block just macro the swap to 2hander back into overpower or ms. Sweeping strikes is also like a half global now
If you use shield block , and swap instantly back to your 2h weapon , you dont get the reduced damage effect from it. You have to keep your 1h & shield up to get the full effect from it. Did couple testing in duels
Ya it doesn’t feel good but that’s all I could think for situational use. In any of those situations you shouldn’t be swapping to 2H anyway. Monks have 100% parry during FoF and rogues have 100% evasion the only thing you can do there is overpower and chaining it off a disarm on a DK is just to buy enough time for their death strike heal to not heal them much since it heals for a % of damage taken in the last however many seconds. I had mine macrod to equip 2H + /start attack /cast mortal strike so I could atleast overpower during evasion. The majority of those situations would only be for like wpvp or bgs or something niche. The only one worth is blocking FoF in arena imo that’s the majority of a monks damage so you’re not taking dmg and youre gimping the bulk of their offensive pressure. You can only storm bolt every other FoF due to cooldown times and if they have storm earth and fire up their images will still deal 85% damage so it’s a waste of a stun to mitigate 1/3 of their dmg. I’m also thinking long term like shadowlands not much of an issue on prepatch because warr is pumping huge dmg. Edit what I would like to see is remove the global from weapon swap or make it so you don’t need to equip sword/board if you’re in defensive stance since you have that annoying perma shield animation anyway.
They honestly should of just brought Defence stance back to where it makes you swap to sword and shield and you have prot abilities back like revenge so when you block you have free damage to dish back. Kinda like glad stance was I think we had our best survival with stance dance play style
@@lapio8222 no it wouldnt look at how they have the current defence stance for arma warrior. Its litterly a must pick in pvp and you press it once to go into defence stance which they could tie it to like how rogue goes into stealth it changes your bar to the defence stance bar. So it would auto equip your sword and sheild and you instantly have the abilities that go with sword and sheild. When you press it again your back in arms stance. They wouldnt have to change anything besides having it auto swap your weapons for you and your hot bar.
I know I'm probably getting annoying. but here. I think I found perfect fury pvp build. crit is key. (Sudden death)-(storm bolt)-(frenzy)-(warpaint)-(cruelty)-(dragon roar)-(reckless abandon) pvp talents (blood rage or disarm)-(slaughter house)-(death sentence) Anger management is also viable with this build because of the haste procs. Lots of reduced cooldown time.but I may just be completely whack. Could use a recklessness rampage macro for post charching the enemy. :) It looks good on paper But that's just on paper. Haste from rampage constantly means more crit and mastery stacking instead of haste. Haste can cut off at about 18%-22% because the stacks from rampage. More crit means more dmg. So I guess I would still just prioritize that over 35% mastery way lower. Like 20-25% I'll stop bothering you now. ._.
That was the best warrior pvp guide I've seen. GG I enjoyed how you took your time on explaining the synergy of each talent as well as the stat priority. Not sure why you have any thumbs down. I play on Tichondrius orc warrior Krackinskulls.
Honestly they should’ve brought back second wind able to use during combat instead of out of combat. Second wind was amazing for arms warriors during cata and mop

Here I’ll tell you the secret to swapping to sword and shield. Macro your sword and shield into intervene since it’s off the GCD you swap and use a gcd during the intervene so you don’t notice it at all and then macro your two handed with charge so you swap back to two handed when you charge. I rarely do this unless facing a melee heavy comp and I’m getting focused. I’ll intervene back to healer or teammate and I’m able to pop shield block instantly it’s nice to have if your being focused.

When I first saw the shield abilities on arms I instantly put of def stance too see if you could use them then since in bfa you would have that small buckler on your arm with your factions insignia on it but they changed it so you no longer have that little shield. Probs since they new they were bringing those shield abilities back and it woulda made arms the gods of melee pvp.

Hey Baj buddy ole pal.... I love the vid... I chose the Night Warrior NE Warrior just because, cool as hell, I wanted to see if you were ok with #castsequence macros. You were saying macros shouldn't have global cooldowns but a castsequence macro allows you to spam that maco like a crackhead on meth and you just do abilities when global cooldowns are available. Do you not recommend this or is it something you are cool with. I ask because I severely destroy Priest/Paladins/Monks (healers) quite often with a #castsequence macro in BG's. Not sure the relfex ability of the healers in arena since I don't really have a partner to roll with so I don't arena much. Just spamming that #castsequence macro is about a 6 second full hp dumped kill on a Priest with a Sub Rogue. Is it not recommended for Arms Wars?
I think you could make a case for Shield Block in PVE so you can go into emergency tank mode for a couple seconds until the tank gets rezzed, just to cover "oh crap" moments. It doesn't appear to have any use in PVP.

I made @party1 & 2 for intervening. It will be exciting to choose to peel or assist. Still, It would have been nice if blizzard made storm bolt baseline already. Piercing Howl into war breaker blade storms will be amazing
Dude what's the best deadliest talent between arms and fury in terms of pvp? I'm still in BFA. 😅 I love using arms but I'm still a little bit confuse between of them. If I prefer using arms what is the two best profession that is really fit on it? 😅
So why not use double time instead of storm bolt? Like, I realise that you lose that stun, but you won't be near as rage starved because of heroic leap into ur 2nd charge. Mobility is what makes arms warr fun imo.

For Warrior you can use this macro for charge and intervene. #showtooltip Charge /cast Charge then press Enter and type /cast Intervene if you are targeted on a enemy you will charge if on a ally you will intervene
Problem with this is, if you double tap it, it triggers intervene giving you instead of a charge it gives the glowing hand to target a friendly for intervene. So even though it works sometimes it can really mess up other times.

@@sterlingcox4502 I tested this macro a while back and changed it when I realized if you double tap the key, sometimes it will try to cast intervene instead of Charge, thus slowing down the whole process and you have to click around and click back on the enemy to do charge. I as just letting others know to be cautious about it if they do decide to use it.
if we could use mortal strike with 1 hand and shield, then shield block and shield slam would get a lot more use i think, in situations where it is high pressure on yourself.
@@danlorett2184 it may just be better to wait until you cycle back to 2H tbh especially if you've got sharpen or csmash available, considering the likelihood of rage stavation now after being defensive for a bit. That's the bummer thing about modern PvP design, it's super scripted around CD rotations, kinda started in Cata and mostly been getting worse ever since, maybe with a short break in late MoP.
Listen for a sec. That should block with prevent you from having to use die by the sword. Dont forget that. Warriors can basically now take 0 damage from melee if they play right
Do it, MoP was hands down the best expac they've made imo, and they kinda ruined PvP in the one after. After BfA and now SL, it's back and not quite what it was, but still close. The only things that theyve taken away from PvP overall since then is profession perks and stat reforging. They have added a few things in their place though, so there's still some customisation compared to back then. Overall, loads of fun.
I wish swapping weapons didn’t use a global. I think letting arms have that weapon swap with a shieldslam, shield block while getting defensive stance as an OPTION is so great. This issue is the global and the fact that you CANNOT swap weapons in combat anymore 😭😭🤔🤔🤔😡
now you can swap weapons in combat again, i tried it with my old macro with D.Stance from back in Cataclysm, but the problem is the global cooldown, you have to hit the button a couple times for it to work and its weird... i´d say it has helped me a couple times, but is problematic

Stance dancing creates a pretty big barrier for newer players so Blizzard would never bring that back. It requires knowledge of macros etc to play.

Since arms is worse in terms of rage generation like you said wouldnt it make more sense to run Skullcrusher as oppose to Sudden Death?

Hey man..you use arena target's 1 2 3? Also stormbold 1 2 3 arena target's macro?
One of my favorite macros is a pummel/throw
So Melee your interrupt does dmg and at range you can use that throw still to keep enemies in combat
How do you word that macro?

Yep combo zone taunt + SB can save a raid juste the time to rez tank and heal full
It's OK vs a few things like Fists of Fury from monks but there's so much nonphysical damage that goes right thru it. Situationally useful.

Mortal Strike reduces the healing effectiveness by 50% without Sharpen Blade, so what's the point of this ability? Only a 15% buff for ms dmg?

Bfa comes with the subscription so you just buy SL+sub or get a bundle
You've always been able to MS with a 1H out. It's just not worth doing unless you really need to refresh the debuff cause the damage will suck.

That's the bummer thing about modern PvP design, it's super scripted around CD rotations, kinda started in Cata and mostly been getting worse ever since, maybe with a short break in late MoP.

Listen for a sec. That should block with prevent you from having to use die by the sword. Dont forget that. Warriors can basically now take 0 damage from melee if they play right

Do it, MoP was hands down the best expac they've made imo, and they kinda ruined PvP in the one after. After BfA and now SL, it's back and not quite what it was, but still close. The only things that theyve taken away from PvP overall since then is profession perks and stat reforging. They have added a few things in their place though, so there's still some customisation compared to back then. Overall, loads of fun.

I wish swapping weapons didn’t use a global. I think letting arms have that weapon swap with a shieldslam, shield block while getting defensive stance as an OPTION is so great. This issue is the global and the fact that you CANNOT swap weapons in combat anymore 😭😭🤔🤔🤔😡
now you can swap weapons in combat again, i tried it with my old macro with D.Stance from back in Cataclysm, but the problem is the global cooldown, you have to hit the button a couple times for it to work and its weird... i´d say it has helped me a couple times, but is problematic

They should change it into 1 player spell so little impling fireballs and stuff like that doesnt get counted in
