I mean technically, OK State would’ve played Bama and Stanford would’ve played LSU in the playoffs. These 2 would only play each other if they both won their semis that year, which I consider unlikely

OSU would’ve been the champ that year. I get D wins championships, but that OSU D forced 45 turnovers and had a damn near unstoppable offense. Bama and LSU had great defenses but comparatively laughable offenses, neither team would’ve been able to ride defense against that OSU O
