The Mark Richt era wasn't perfect, especially after 05, but man were the highs so good. The game that made Matthew Stafford right here. Also put some respect on Knowshon Moreno's name!
Kirby smart teams have been head and shoulders more talented. The difference is recruiting and player development not on field coaching during the game. All of them big games they lost except for when time ran out in the sec championship they weren’t better than those teams
The excessive celebration penalty was needed to give Mark Richt and Georgia an edge. He was tired of Florida owning them 4 of the last 5 times these teams met
Percy Harvin could’ve been a great wideout in the NFL today, but his injuries ended his career. The NFL didn’t respect Tim Tebow either as far as we know.
I love this rivalry and I hope it can get good again because now it's just Georgia beating the shit out of Florida (not complaining tho lol eff Florida!)
This Game Was Crazy and The Way Georgia Ran on The Field After The TD is Priceless!
The game that turned UGA/FLA into a real rivalry.
1990-2006: Georgia won only twice in 17 years
From 2007/2020: It was split down the middle at 7-7
UGA owns Florida
GA is leading the series heavily at the moment. Florida hasn't won in a long time.

The problem with richt was his teams could never win the big games
@@jakebuchsbaum3348True but at least he won this big game lol. Go dawgs.
A rare win for Georgia in this series. 90s and early 2000s this was dominated by Florida.
My dwags fucked them up🐶
However the DWgs lead the overall series 56-44-2
It’s crazy to see the difference between Georgia coached by Mark Richt and Georgia coached by Kirby Smart.
Ya completely more complete and not known for big game collapses

@@Ballinbmacyour right except for 2012 when they could of whooped Notre Dame lol
@@packersauburneric3625 that’s the same year I’m talking about
@@Ballinbmac ya I wonder what would of happened had mark richt won in 2012
The excessive celebration penalty was needed to give Mark Richt and Georgia an edge. He was tired of Florida owning them 4 of the last 5 times these teams met
And now Georgia absolutely dominates Florida every year
@@ryandeeg2538that’s because a man named Urban Meyer is no longer in Gainesville
@@sports3117on the contrary my friend, its because a man named Kirby Smart is now in Athens
@@sports3117believe that if you want bum 😂
@@sports3117You’re right.
Mane this game brought me sooooo many memories 😂😂 I was 11 when I saw this on TV. I damn near celebrated with them on the 1st TD lol. Go Dawgs!!
That was the Year of the Upset!
Stafford vs Tebow! What a game
Knowshon Moreno would've been one great running back in the NFL
He was! It was just the ACL injury that ended it too soon
Percy Harvin could’ve been a great wideout in the NFL today, but his injuries ended his career. The NFL didn’t respect Tim Tebow either as far as we know.
Gator fan here & it’s Georgia Hate week, it’s highly unlikely but I’m hoping the football Gods are on our side this Saturday & we beat Georgia 🙏🏾
Oh, yes, the Gator Stomp.
Holy shit Tebow was getting dudes on him like every other play
Yeah Georgia did an awesome job at containing him, they also got a handful of sacks
Mark Richt's best UGA teams had great QBs, but they struggled when they didn't. Kirby Smart won even when UGA wasn't great at QB.

I see a lot of North Carolina boys out there
Here in 2024. I was in 9th grade sitting in section 128 at this game.
Bruh who's guarding these Florida receivers these guys were open all game
You mean Tim Tebow
Matthew Stafford ended up having the better career
First
Wouldn't call it everything
