We have a wealth of diverse true stories to bring to the movie industry here in South Africa ..just need to get it written and filmed .Btw my son Im still trying to get to see that...hes a Film grad .
I think South Africa has the largest group of Indians outside of India... Especially around Durban and in Natal, just walking into a tiny street cafe selling cooldrinks and takeaways, the smell of strong Indian spices hangs in the air like a fingerprint.
@@africacan Well America might have more as a total number, but it is believed Durban is the city with the largest Indian population outside of India... +- some 1.5 million people.
Yes same here.Im from Cape Town and also had penpals from France and Spain and today as a 58yr old, my home based job after Covid lockdown yrs IS still engaging with people I dont know personally but are visiting my home for dinners as Im a host for tourists wanting South African home cooked dinners .Full circle Im proud to say Ive achieved .😊
Thanks Allison for thy updates, much appreciated.a famous quote "if all my possession is taken from me with one exception, I would choose to keep the power of writing, for with it, soon I will regain the rest ".
Wow this is great news finally South African Indians are representing their story, infact we would like to watch more stories that tell local stories like this movie, it is time now. I would love to view the movie, but in your report you don't say when the movie is coming out and where can we watch it? these are important details that viewers want when you are promoting a movie First Post.
Great approach by the makers🎥 to showcase the story of the Indian diaspora🇮🇳 to the world 🌍 🌎
Thank you so much for this wonderful storyline🙏🏻
Featuring two of my favourite South African actors, Emmanuel Castis (the American in the movie) and Jack Devnarain (father of the girl)

How can I get to watch this movie.
It was on the big screen
I partly grew up in Greytown..
But we left the country before the 1994 elections!
she could've pronounced the producer's surname correctly
Wow beautiful amazing ❤
Rajesh from isidingo is in the mix😂Alyson Le Grange also doing South Africa proud👍
Hope , it's 🙂
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
-why it not playing on tv?
@Firstpost - the co-producer's surname is Sitaram not Sitteraman. Simple enough!
Its not new. My dad married an indian during apartheid.
Me and my brothers married indian women during apartheid too.
There are many cases like it.
..There's Indians , Hindu people, Sanathan Dharma supporters .....in Africa 🇿🇦🌍 😳
Hope they [settlers of 1897] get their Indian citizenship.
