Love how a lot of TH-camrs are starting to put dates of when their trip was. It’s super helpful as a lot of fans always want to know the time and date especially when the bite is hot 😂
Great video, Mark, you guys were really into the spanish. There was a lot happening on the jetty, it's always crazy when the bite turns on like that, lots of fun! Take care and be safe. Anxiously awaiting your next video!
First time fishing at Brownsville we hit the Mackerel bite. They took every hook up by biting the mono line. I had never seen such a thing. Good times.
I remember watching y’all’s videos on my other account that’s why y’all looked familiar! Sorry I didn’t say hi just didn’t want to interrupt footage 😂 y’all absolutely hammered the mangrove snapper today btw (9/25/23) I was the guy that lost the trout in the rocks this morning 😭😭
Awesome video as always guys - I’ll hace to do some research on red tide - you mentioned your lungs getting irritated and coughing 😬- tight lines- PuraSal 🙌🏻
I use the Simms Flyweight boot with HardBite cleats. I’m not much of a Wade fisherman but I also use the same Simms boot in a bigger size so my waders sock will fit.
Smart move to leave before the storm. One lesson we learn the hard way is you can't outrun Mother Nature's wrath. Also glad you didn't hook that cormorant.
Sorry. You mentioned your sons reels ratio. So many now are, I think I saw one at 12/1 reel speed. That is very hard to slow the retrieve in were the artificial works right. 4/1 was hard work because you had to reel faster which wore you out. 5/1 was better because you could slow down to make an artificial work better or natural. 6/1 was manageable but above that and, in my and a couple other old timers, is hard to keep the right speed of the lure. You work all your baits very good and with a skill based on what the real live bait would act like and the speed of the reel makes a difference.
Makes sense brother. Everywhere i look up it says it’s fine to keep fish as long as the fillet is all your are harvesting. How do you personally feel about that?
You need to be careful with these videos your local politicians/Master may think you're having too much fun, on top of the license/ permission slips charge you $5 per fish caught next. We all have a god-given right to recreational fish for food fun therapy, help abolish the recreational fishing licenses

It doesn’t matter how old a person can be, action like that makes you gitty!

Enjoyed it Mark! Yall keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
Hey Mark, I may have missed it but what boots work best for the jetties? And to if you will. What boots do you prefer for waid fishing?

Nice vid. Lighting doesn't play no games.
Yeah I know, when I felt the pressure drop, it was time to go!
Sad how it's now a red tide
I know
i'm from Surfside. we call them smacks / smacks - the best ceviche
👍
That's a crowd!
yes it is 🤙
Went out to SE Lump 11 miles out Tuesday 9/19. Saw a lot of red water. Today is Thursday and feeling a little snotty from red water I think....
I hope everything turns out well.
what's the best lure and weather/water condition for spanish mackerel? thank you!
silver spoon and not sure about the weather

I'm glad I didn't too 😂 🦅
I wonder how many out there are fishing legally. Freeport is a free for all.
Nice video, BUT MAN WHO'S MAKING THOSE BEATS?
Roof - Big Spoon
Paeta - Don’t Stress
Do you use steel leader or mono or fluro for leader for spanish
How many lb leader
Your son looks so calm and collective on those rocks
Looks like you had no problem with Spanish cutting you off
25 lb titanium leader 1’ long.
Thanks
Need to do a video on how to set up for Spanish macks
like those boots! what are they?
Simms
I’m staying at 5-1. Above that is just too hard to make the baits work right to me.
Not sure I understand what you're trying to say 🤔

Gotcha 👍
Now what you doing fishing on a Saturday Mark? You should know better than this.😂
😂
I thought you were not keeping any fish because of the red tide…
This was before my post on the 20th.

I’m not sure, I don’t know enough about it.

Are there any reasonable rentals down there for a getaway?
I’m sure there are 👍
