Thanks for sharing your adventures... i thought this was a "this week" video especially since its been so beautiful. "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya"
Was this Saturday? If it was I saw y’all coming out of the ditch, me and my girl were fishing the middle reef and I caught about 15 flatties with the biggest at 23” all on down south purple w green tail. Lots of undersized trout and 1 22” red.
hey dude i know you fish the surfside area a lot... but do you fish the intracostal at all? my grandpa lives down right on the canal and i fish it a ton usually with drop shots and shrimp since its so deep... problem is that i cant get away from the hardheads and gaffs and other bait stealers... i cant usually fish a cork or anything because most of the fish are not that high in the water column... any tips to get on those reds and specs while avoiding the catfish?
Maybe try a rig that the jetty anglers use. They suspend their baits at a depth of 8-12’ using a cork. The problem with this method in the inter coastal is the tidal currents.
I grew up around there and that area has always been a good place to fish. I miss my saltwater fishing. I live on Toledo bend now... Fresh water fish just don't taste as good.
@@MDLRFishing he appeared to come from the Texas City shore of swan, maybe off 97 and through the ditch because it was a strong bull tide. Virginia point would definitely be doable in a kayak.
@@MDLRFishingok,thanks for the reply,😮 but because I am truly disabled and can only walk assisted for about 20 yards, That makes it a little hard for me to get from the parking lot to the pier. But I truly thank you for the response, and I. Pray that you never become disabled like me.
Buggs for the win 🎣 the new lure is awesome💪

Saludos amigo buenas cacturas en bote 🛥️
Thanks Marvin!
What color clickbait shrimp are you using. I use the curtail in black gold and blue crab.
It’s a BuggTail Jig in white.

The only freshwater fish I like is crappie.
We saw a guy in a kayak fishing that area and I have no clue how he got in Swans?
Four miles from the Dike.

Had hard time, Flounder fishing has been slow, only caught my last keeper,3 weeks ago, it's been slow
I been having, Small Sand Trout,Dog Fish,Lady fish,no Flounder yet
What is that lure, where can you get it
It’s a Bugg-Tail Jig from Buggs Fishing Lures.
I love your channel, but why can't you do 1 or 2 or 2 of places that truly disabled people can fish and catch???
The only places that come to mind are the two fishing piers at Galveston and Seawolf Park. I recently went to Seawolf. 🤙
