In this basement, we added a column for symmetry in the theater, and we also incorporated columns into glass French doors to hide them in with the doors. 1)instead of having an elevated step there you can add the elevated step behind the first row (as there is free space) and you can add more chairs for the theatre
2)as there is no egress window in the room instead of putting a bed there you can push the table tennis table in that room and cover the whole theatre with curtains so that there is no echo( added this point because it is quite clear when you are speaking)
3)behind the second row of the theatre that i suggested can be added speakers and consumables that are usually used like popcorn and drinks while watching a movie

Those outside steps leading to the basement door, how is it during winter? Doesn’t that basement get snow / water from the outside being that it’s the lowest point?

How much is this basement?
Very wide open space with huge echo. The owner is gonna have to do some serious sound treatment in that basement to utilize that home theater given that they get some decent speakers.
