IMPRESSIVE!!! I’m turning 63 years old tomorrow and I have a finished basement that I would love to refinish after watching this basement remodeling video. I don’t have any carpentry, electrical or plumbing skills but I have some tools. I’m gonna try my best to do what you guys did for my basement. Your skilled work is marvelous! This job was so amazing that I watched the video twice. Might watched a third time 😀
The workmanship is fantastic. You actually made this whole thing look easy! That's when I KNOW folks know exactly what they are doing. Excellent job sir.
4:52 it will not prevent harm due to moisture since the moist will accumulate behind this barrier and eventually wet en weaken the wall behind it. A friend of mine did the same in his cellar and now he has tons of problems with waterdamp all-around. Apart from that I think you did a good job.
I love it!!!! Actually installing supports for big screens, NICE! I don't see that done alot. Came out great. Installing supports for wall mounted big screen TVs will save you a lot of money, including the pull wire tube is a nice add also.
One question, I saw water spots on walls, wouldn't water intrude and wet your subfloor? I didn't see dimple. Layer put on the back and tucked under waterproofing system? Trying to learn, as I will have to do my basement soon.
Two question, because we're about to start our finishing of our basement: 1) Why did you do metal studs around the ductwork? 2) Where did you find out about the wind and moisture barrier? We have a stone foundation so I'm very cognizant that water and moisture are key concerns, but I also want to ensure the stone foundation can breathe and dry out. What is the benefit of the barrier before putting up the framing and insulation?
The metal studs were used because they are straight, you can also use wood. The wind and moisture barrier or house wrap is used to prevent moisture from getting into the wood and insulation from the concrete but it’s breathable so your stone will still breathe. Good luck on your Reno!
It saddens me and also makes me proud when I see this video. This is what our young brothers and sisters need to see the hood would be a better place I do roofing after all that hard work your to tired for the bullshit
It is always a pleasure to watch people who TRULY know what they are doing. Very well done, Sir.
Thank you!
Agree
That is some mighty fine craftsmanship - should be a very happy and proud homeowner. Job well done!

Thank you! All the best with your renovation! We hope it goes well!
That's gotta be the most moisture-resistant basement I've seen. Double vapor barriers on the walls and the floor. That's awesome!
My toxic trait is thinking that I can do this by myself 😂. A beautiful renovation. I need this done to my basement.
We all get a little over ambitious by times, pick one project and then just keep going!
You can it will just take more time
Although you had some great assistants, you are a one man show! Looks so great!!
You guys make it looks so easy, which shows how talented you are.
It's crazy how simple that lower wall is and how much more of a vibe it gives the room. Great work on this 🤙
Thanks!
It always amazing that you can take an ugly space and make it so beautiful, such talented men.

Excellent work, I would totally hire you to transform my mess of a basement 😅

This is great work, great video, and a beautiful basement renovated. How much did it cost Bro?
Mold heaven!
How did you secure the subfloor to the concrete…..or it is just laid over?
Who are the makers of those blue cabinets you put together they are very nice? Love the video and now I'm a subscriber. ❤❤❤
As somebody who has no idea about any of this, would it be wrong to put the vapor barrier on the wall first then do the subfloor barrier and subfloor?
Is plastic plumbing cheaper?
Just curious how much this all cost them to have done.
Awesome job! What is your ceiling height?
Thank you! Just under 8 feet
If that basement floods, it will be a nightmare to repair with a wood subfloor.
So I know this a broad question but curious how long did this take and then how much did it cost ya? Amazing video
It was about 3 months due to some supply chain issues and the budget came in around $36k. Thanks for the comment!!

How long did it take in real life ?
Ich finde den Bewegungsradius vor der Waschmaschine etwas knapp.
Great job, but why you doing everything by
Yourself ?!

Drywall should not touch the concrete floor.

That receptacle with the USB port was near a sink. Was it gfci protected at the panel? It is supposed to be labeled as such at the receptacle.
