    Before I started watch your great videos I ordered some pumice on line. It is just a little finer than sand. I haven’t tried it yet but you reminded me that I need to get with it. I just made a Lemonade Sign using your ideas and it is awesome. Thanks.

    Hi ... love your videos! I watched your video on mixing coffee ground paint and was wondering if I could use the paint mixed with baking soda instead of mixing with plaster of paris? I had asked this on that video but noticed it was made back in april and not sure if you are updated on comments made. Thanks much!

    Hey there thanks for the great ideas! Haven’t heard of some of these techniques so it was nice to see them!
    Quick tip/request: it would make it way more user friendly if perhaps you could simply write in the description next time for a video such as this the basic summary of each that you linked. For example, in this video, the basic ratios of each paint type (ie: ratio of sand to paint, for example 1:2) or whatnot so we don’t have to watch and dig through a bunch of other videos to find out this basic info since this video is about these textures anyhow. That would be so helpful! Then someone could still watch your videos for more info and how to use them.
    Thanks a bunch! Keep up the good work!

    I have a couple of large outdoor ceramic planters, that have a raised floral design on them. I want to apply a textured finish to change the color and hopefully cover the raised design. What would you suggest I use? I would like to use them outdoors. Love all of your tutorials! Thanks!

    • @OurUpcycledLife
      @OurUpcycledLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use any of these but will have to be sealed really well with a outdoor sealer if they are going to be out in the elements. Thanks for watching

  • @theresaanndiaz3179
    @theresaanndiaz3179 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you put any kind of varnish over the paints? I want to paint some plastic planters for outside.
    I have read that you need to prep plastic first. Do you have any videos on painting plastic?

    • @OurUpcycledLife
      @OurUpcycledLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching ❤️ I seal everything with poly acrylic sealer but have not done or tested plastic pots. I would think you would have to apply a primer first then seal with outdoor sealer

    Can you please let me know which one is the closest to Dixie Belle’s Sea Spray? That is very expensive! I made your recipe for sand paint and I have coffee grounds saved. Thank you! 💕

    Great comparison video. Thanks for sharing.
    I've been gathering materials and utensils for all these recipes during the last few weeks. In the near future I want to start to try all of these out.
    I've got one big problem though, which I have to solve before.
    In the recipes you use the measurement "cups" (1/2 cups and 1/4 cups) and table-spoons.
    But I've not been able to find information on the internet how the ratio of 1/4 cup to a table-spoon is.
    Can you help me out? Since it's a volume measurement, you can also write it in milliliters (ml)
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @thePickinPilgrim
      @thePickinPilgrim 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1 US cup = 16 tablespoons. So, 1/2 cup is 8 tbsp, 1/4 cup is 4 tbsp. 1 tablespoon is equivalent to 14.787 millilters. I hope that helps. 🙂

    • @hansdegroot8549
      @hansdegroot8549 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@thePickinPilgrim Thanks a lot. That really helps. 15 ml. for a tablespoon is common in Europe as well. 1 cup 0.24 litres makes sense.
      I hope that 1 US cup = 1 CAN cup LOL

    • @theelizabethan1
      @theelizabethan1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4 Tablespoons = 1/4 Cup
      8 Tablespoons = 1/2 Cup
      12 Tablespoons = 3/4 Cup
      16 Tablespoons = 1 Cup
      3 teaspoons = 1 Tablespoon
      Measurements per the "Imperial System."

    Now I'm not trying to be hard headed here but coffee " grind " paint ? You are referring to spent coffee grounds yes? Or something altogether different. The present tense of the word throws me off. :)
