    When using the tape method you can also paint over the edges of the tape with some white paint first, let that dry and after that use your colors:) the white will fill in the gaps between the paper and the tape so there’s no room for colors to leak in:)

    • @Osyrous
      @Osyrous 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you! This is genius. What would you suggest if you already have a layer of color that you now want to tape over and add another layer over for a specific patter?

    • @Fravii
      @Fravii 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Osyrous You’re welcome ☺️ In this case I’d go over the edges with the color you first used and that’s now underneath the tape☺️ also please make sure that your tape is not too sticky. Otherwise it could rip off the first layer.

    • @Fravii
      @Fravii ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jessemolina4233 I like to use the Tesa masking professional sensitive tape (the pink one) it’s not as sticky as others which means it’s not as likely to rip the paper when peeling it off. In case it seems to stick to the paper (for example if you left it on for a very long time), you can try and use a hairdryer to warm up the tape and you should be able to peel it off easier :) I hope that helped:)

    Hello everyone! I have really valued all of the feedback, suggestions and comments! I initially made this video for my high school students, who also received additional instruction from me in the classroom setting. This video was made as a supplement to that instruction and therefore isn't as inclusive as it could be. I have more knowledge to add! Because of the growing interest I am in the process of making another video on these same techniques, but more in depth and with more examples. Thanks again for your support and be on the lookout for my new video. As always, I love answering questions and hearing feedback.

      Please removed or improve your solution of the Paint with water and add that you can t dilute IT with water for more then 30% as IT Will break the binder and IT Will cause the Paint to damage your painting directory or in short time ( for more indepth I would need to look up the technicall terms and explanation but I know IT is true for all normal acrulic paints even the expensive brands and every known brand. They made mediums to add to Paint to use IT very tuin or very Thick etc. And IT s not sometiñg that's been changed and this a teaching that's faulty, nope, IT still is that way. Thaught to ask you to change your opinion on this as you tracht beginners and so others might Read my warning for this problem.)

    Great video, super helpful and straight to point! I'm planning on becoming an art teacher but its been a few years since I took any painting classes so now I'd love to make my own cheat sheet for these techniques.
