After seeing what happen to 17 in DBS, I think 8 and 17 would truly be best friends. Especially since 8 reminds him of 16.

The split up into DB and DBZ is an anime only thing. Its one single story in the manga original.

There’s a difference between a villain and a monster. The villain can be redeemed, but the monster is nothing more than just a monster.
I would say Frieza has earned the title of villainess monster.
It means someone that can be redeemed, but will never be redeemed because of what they truly are, which is a monster.
I would say The gods of destruction can fit this more accurately.
Both Frieza and Zamasu are unredeemable monsters.
