    I also thought (while watching this movie for the first time) that her commenting on how fascinating his conversation was with his sister, that was her way of letting him know he could carry the conversation with her if he wanted. If she really didn't want him to talk to her, like she's busy or just doesn't want to socialize with him, she probably would've left it at "no problem" after he apologized for being loud and acted closed off about it.

    If, in some universe, I was her, first thing I would think is he is probably like this with everyone. Plus the fact that he is so attractive would make me think he's got a lot of game because he has to be social being that attractive. I know, stereotypes, but if you dont know the person, you rely on that to protect yourself I guess

  • @windwhisprz

    I'm always amazed how closed off people are when in public places. It's kinda disappointing. It's fun to engage with strangers, I have had some incredible moments. But I think so many people are not interested or perhaps they are fearful?

    • @Matt_Nor
      @Matt_Nor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I think it is a combination of interest, fear and time. Our time is valuable and if you look at it as money... how would you like to spend your time during the day. People may be fearful due to the standard and how we behave. Whether it be on social media, dating apps or in real life. Being interested or uninterested is up to your scheldue and very subjective. That's what i believe.

    1) When she says"Its fascinating" she gave a great signals of attraction. So thats reason why he didnt scare her away with too many compliments. But it was too many anyway. On the other hand its always better to show too much interest when you are attracted, then not showing interest at all. You dont wanna end up in friendzone.
    2) When showing interest its sometimes better to do it by the way. Not so straightforward. Like when he is playfully creating their future together. "If we are married..." This is very great tactic because he is creating that possible future in her head and she is investing to it emotionally. If girl likes you she will play the game and invest in this with her own ideas or jokes.
    3) He is obviously not some pickup artist, but he would get her anyway. You dont need to be Brad Pitt to pick up girls. You dont need to be smooth all the time. You just need to go and start conversation. And improvize from there. Just try it in whatever state you are. Even if you are ugly. Or sad. Or tired. Or in crowded place. Or..... If you dont go in you have exactly 0% chance. And everything is better than 0.
    4) If you talk to her for more than 3 minutes ASK FOR HER NUMBER. Always. Its almost an insult if you dont.

    You’d be surprised how easy it is to chat with someone in public and just be absolutely real and engaging. The only people that don’t open up to a stranger have their individual reasons but for the most part if you’re just positive, interested, engaging and back/forth well you can talk to almost anyone

    That failing to get the number thing is very real. The first time I met the love of my life, we spent two days together falling in love, and neither of us was brave enough to risk rejection by asking for the number. We parted with no way to get back together. Pure fortune put us back together again a few months later for another two days, in which our love blossomed all the more, and STILL we didn't exchange numbers. Fortunately a much wiser and older soul was present who saw what was happening between us. He took out out for a snack when all was done, and himself assured that we exchanged numbers. Turned out though that it didn't matter, as she took me home that night and took my cherry. That is a very brief summation of just a couple of chapters of a true romance that could have been right out of a book.

  • @matthalo89

    One thing that makes this situation ok in her mind is the fact Brad Pitt’s character is attractive. If he was considered average looking or below that then people would be annoyed, bothered, think you were rude, etc. Attraction starts with looks. Think about how before we ever speak a word to someone we look at them and see them. What happens in those first 5 seconds of first seeing them? We decide if we like their looks. Pretty girl walks in a room and you see her. Immediately you think she’s pretty and then the next step is conversing. But if the girl doesn’t find the guy good looking, nothing the guy does will matter.

    It's because she has a boyfriend. This is the reason why she was hesitant to proceed even though she felt the spark. It's like taking a risk if she goes with Brad he may be the wrong guy and will lose the current guy. If Brad actually pressed on her more after they were outside. Asking for her phone or asking if he can see her again. She would have given in because her current boyfriend doesn't show much interest in her.

    • @matthalo89
      @matthalo89 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It seems her being with a guy like Drew (I think is his name) who is successful, driven, and business savvy doesn’t pay her much attention is a common tale in the world of dating/marriage. Lots of guys win girls over because they can charm them but the guy is like Drew in the sense he only gives attention when he wants to but otherwise is hyper focused on his stuff and what he wants to do. The girl is just something nice that’s there when he wants to acknowledge her. Kinda like a nice painting hanging in your house you glance at every now and then. If she hadn’t met Brad’s character she probably would’ve married the boyfriend and lived a very lonely life with him. Rich and lonely. She would end up cheating on him because she’s just that-lonely. And he would’ve already been there done that and cheated on her eons ago on business trips while she sits alone in a big, empty house. Common tale. I know this is a movie but it reflects truths about our reality. It couldn’t be more true.

  • @lmsossi6501
    @lmsossi6501 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Interesting assessment, but Pitt's character doesn't become the devil. Death takes the body of that young man to experience life. He ends up falling in love with Claire's character and she with him. When he chooses to let her go at the end because he realizes that she still saw him as the man she initially met, he gives that guy back his life and returns him to her. Death had been told he was being selfish and ultimately learned that love isn't selfish, letting her go rather than taking her life so he could have her forever. Claire's character realizes when she speaks to him that he is once again the guy she met in the diner and that the other incarnation of him was actually Death. It's done in a very understated way where the realization shows on her face and she says that she wished he could have met her father as she now knows Death had come for her father and taken him.

    Nice breakdown of that scene. I think she doesn't ask for his name and/or number here and keeps debating whether to walk back to Pitt's character is because at this point in the film, she already has a boyfriend.

    Nobody should be as attractive as Bradd is in this movie, his eyes, his lips, his mannerisms....how could anyone take their eyes away from him?

    Ok, Anthony, you have very velvety voice and it is comforting and attractive. The things that do stand in the way are here
    1. The sound of your recordings is too sharp, inadequate kind of mic makes the voice sound artificial with metallic echoes. (I am not a tech expert but I got my yeti blue and it pays off in podcasts).
    2. You tend to use your voice like a voice actor: comic effects, whining, mimics and this makes your natural voice go less pronounced.
    3. Your natural voice has very much allure and it is really appealing - if you want, you can record a more relaxed video (no reaction), just you and what sparks your interest, what you bring to the table.
    4. You also have a bit cogested sinuses 😅 It can be taken care of. From what I hear, most Americans do have that kind of voice 👃
    Voice is powerful, I wholeheartedly stand with what you do on this channel and I wish you to relish in the beauty of your voice when it flows only for you and your pleasure.
    Right now, with your voice, you do not appreciate it and you use it as a mean of epression of some content (like intelectual or personality). The voice is not a tool alone. The voice is like a body part. Like a soul part. I wish you all the nice things with it 🎶

    I think part of it here was that brad Pitt’s character was also a little frustrated with what his sister had been through. Like a good big brother, he hates what she went through
