- In today's episode, I attempt to fit the 2nd gen Chevrolet/GMC Colorado/Canyon 2015-2022 sidesteps/running boards on my new 2023 Chevrolet Z71 Colorado.

No Problem
Seems to be a good list of after market upgrades that fit both earlier and later models, even the 2012 sunscreen for the windshield fits the 2023s just fine.
Now i wish I didn't order the steps option from the factory for 495.00. I like yours better. Great video, keep it up.
I know I haven’t got mine yet,,I want to make the right decision,, I don’t want ugly bulky side steps on my awesome looking Trail Boss, it’s kinda hard getting in it, I’m 5’8 wife is 5’7 and TB has a factory 2inch lift, plus my truck came with 20s so ads another inch or so,,plan on selling wheels and tires and getting the 18inch that come with it but putting bigger more aggressive bigger tires!
yes the ome will fit i added mine from my 2022 lemon that was replaced on the 2023. just need a spacer and they line right up.

I really wish you would have stepped back about twenty feet to show exactly how they looked on your truck,,,I haven’t bought side steps yet for my 23Colorado Trail Boss yet,,, cause I know how ugly some are and I want to get this very important mod done right the first time!

Hey, the Chevy Dealership installed really nice molded mud flaps on my 2023 Chevy Colorado. I wanted the Stainless Steel Step Bars for my Chevy, but haven't made a decision yet. I want to looks at my options and the pricing too..
No reduction in ground clearance at all.
It looked like body mount rather than frame mount?
Thanks for the vid, I like those side steps you put on there. I was thinking about getting some for my new 2023 z71 colorado, but i came across these "OEDRO® Running Boards w/Paintable Plates Truck Side Steps" I am trying to find some info if they will fit or not (unlucky so far). Do you think they would be ok or I should stick with the ones you got. Just trying to find black and red. Thanks.
not sure about the OEDRO steps, I know the ones I got fit great!
@@imfixitalex Just a follow up, i went ahead and ordered them. Put them on yesterday. They fit great and look nice. For anyone wondering. Looks like most 2015-2022 side rails will fit on the 2023's.

Too bad GM didn't weld on some captive nuts for the mounts. 😕
Hey there quick question I just installed those exact same side steps on my 23 z71 how tight should I tighten bolts?
I just tighten them up fairly tight, not overly torqued down

Does this use 3 or 4 mounting posts? I've seen that the previous model Colorado uses only 3. Not sure if this is correct. Seems to be very difficult to find information on it.
I believe it is 4 mounting points
The link to the side steps still doesn’t work. At least it’s not working for me.
And do you have any trouble getting in and out of the truck from the looks of your video the center of the side steps where it says HD riders seems a little off center closer to the front. Do you step on the logo to get into your truck?
The steps are a bit forward but not bad, I dont step on the HD logo its not in the way. I reposted the link to Amazon, it should work, but youtube is not letting it be linkable with a click yet, I have to wait for verification from youtube to make it clickable....

I reused my old one from my 2016 Colorado. I am waiting on more options until I change it out
I just got a '23 Canyon Denali, and I really don't like the side steps that came with it. Are you still happy with these? If so, I may swap the factory ones for these.
yes I still like them only thing is I wish the drop down where your foot goes was abit longer
