All I can see is a man who has a serious and sincere heart for reaching the lost. I can’t discern anything in his statements that go against the Word. If anything, they point right back to it. I saw this when he allowed this woman to do the speaking Sunday morning July 28, 2019 He is going against the Bible. I can see this may be going to Brian Brodersen ordaining women as Pastors.

I just found Rick warren after years of walking away from Christianity due to trauma.. I think the only thing I have said to god in the past decade (at least 1) is “why do you hate me so much? What have I done so bad to make you give me this life? I found Rick warren on a whim and I’ve been bingeing on saddleback church’s videos for a few days now. I love his word- he is a teacher. I’m not sure what Rick Warren’s convictions are on any issue, because every interview I’ve ever watched has him agreeing to the talking points that each interviewer wants to hear. He’s very prepared and quite skilled in those areas.

Saying you have to be a persons friend before you can save someone is a lie. The Holy Spirit brings someone to saving faith, not our slick talk, friendship or personality. I've studied under a Bible teach for 10+ years along with my Dad but we received a different message because that our personal relationship with God. We judge others because they don't believe what you do. When I talk with someone who I feel is wrong on a subject, but has a great message, I just discount what I disagree with and correct it with my teaching from God. Warren's book "Purpose Driven Life" made an enormous positive impact on The Church. He is being attacked from every side; he must be doing something right. If one does nothing for the faith, why would the Devil attack?
Hey brad, I think the problem that other Christians have with Warren is that warren thinks that by “getting along” with Muslims and Jews and just “loving them”, that somehow they will come around and start believing in Jesus or something. This is the fundamental flaw and might I say cowardly tactic that Warren promotes. It’s philanthropy at its best - let’s all get along and do good works, while at the same time not addressing the HARD truth that people need to repent and believe in Christ’s sacrifice. So to end, I don’t think that warren is a bad man per se (like Kenneth Copeland or something), but I do think that warren is misled into thinking that somehow we can create peace and unity thru good works, which is flagrantly false and anti gospel. You create peace and unity by teaching the truth in love and allowing the Holy Spirit to change people’s hearts. Because there is no such thing as having unity with people who believe in demonically derived religions like Islam or Roman Catholicism.
Pastors n reverends usually has a lot of difficulties in life. They face severe criticism from people even for trivial issues. They have to endure all these obstacles..even in our locality many charges had been levelled against them by their own fellow church members. But that's the way that true believers are treated right from the very begining..
What I heard cleared up confusion. I heard nothing about compromise. Love for God, unwavering belief in the bible, desire to share Christ with others, upholding marriage in Genesis and the Trinity. I don’t agree with pastor Rick on everything, but this was awesome. I think the power to save has nothing to do with us but Christ in us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ive observed some pretty lousy examples of Christians before I came to Christ, but the power is in His word
