Happy childhood memories watching this wonderful TV western series on a Friday evening here in the UK from 1967-70,trampad was a 'legend' a favourite in our family, but they were all great👍😔😀

Terrie Tackett -- There are lots of Steve fans out there in "The Virginian" community. Re his axing, it was pretty much his doing, behavior-wise as he discovered later, based on research in Paul Green's 'must-have' book about the show.
What shocked me -- and so disappointed me -- is a quote from Drury who said, paraphrasing, "I was busy enough acting, had my hands full, so I wasn't privy to what was going on in the producer's office" re the loss of Gary and [four seasons later] Stacy / Don Quine. Because in other aspects 'behind-the-scenes' we clearly see examples of Drury's involvement, interference, commitment, how determined he was. Drury most definitely had his 'finger on the pulse.' That was the appropriate point for the author to clarify Drury's awareness and input; definitely a missed opportunity.
This was darling!! So many smiles, so much fun. And I love seeing Beldon! He was a wonderful addition to any episode. Thank you for this.

" . . . with the whole gang . . . " No, Liz Taylor, due to seasons 5 thru 8 -- half the series -- is MIA. So "half the gang" -- as I complained in another Comment.
For the various fans and editors assembling these it would be a refreshing alternative during all those devoted, yet rather tedious, hours in post production to start assembling from the reverse, season 8, then 7, 6 , 5 . . . Elizabeth surpassed predecessor Betsy by a year's presence; Clay's episode total wasn't that far off initial Shiloh figurehead, Judge Garth's count what with all his absences.
I agree wholeheartedly with Ellen Tuton from 2020 -- 'enough' with the phony widescreen already, because the show was filmed and meant to be telecast in the traditional 4x3 aspect ratio.

Yes he tends to be a bit overshadowed by the main characters, but he adds humour and is actually v attractive in a quirky way I think. I would ride into the sunset with him!

Love this video!!! Got to be a friend of JAMES DRURY & HIS WIFE, I wanted to meet CLU GALLAGHER, but now that MRS. DRURY & MR. DRURY have passed on, don't know. R.I.P. MR.& MRS. DRURY. JAMES recently passed. MRS. DRURY passed in 2019.

Great video! Some of the gang missing from later seasons, The Graingers, Dave Sutton, Jim Horn, maybe you could put them in another video with Sheriff Abbott, Morgan Starr, Harper and Dick.

Nic Fewer -- Along that theme, what an unexpected surprise to see John Bryant's Doc Spaulding -- standing aside Judge Garth, 2:17 - 2:18 -- in one of his two dozen appearances as Medicine Bow's married country doctor. He did his share of digging out bullets, mending bodies, delivering babies. He 'nailed' the happy ending of 'Dark Destiny' by arranging for the paid scholarship to the nursing school in San Francisco for newly orphaned Billie Jo (Brenda Scott) whose outlaw father died in the life-or-death struggle over a revolver with the Virginian.
Love the Virginian forever and always ❤❤❤

Now, feedback on the content:
How utterly unbelievable there are 44 comments accumulated over 16 months from this nostalgic, lively "Virginian" video -- and only one person notices the total absence, the complete elimination of the cast for years 5 thru 8.
Are Stacey and Elizabeth and the elder Graingers -- you know, the OWNERS of Shiloh -- and Jim Horn and David Sutton so 1) reprehensible or 2) insignificant, bland, boring and unmemorable that dozens of "The Virginian"'s most dedicated fans don't even notice? Or, if they do, don't take a moment to ask, "You know, there are just as many seasons of 'The Virginian' that you've bypassed as you've presented. Why is that?"
The way this looks the montage should more accurately be titled "'The Virginian' Gang - 1st Team Only"/ Tell the World.
The only reason everyone past season 4 is not in this video is simply because I hadn’t watched season 5-8 when I made this particular video... if you watch some of my new videos (in particular “Please Remember”) you will see more of the characters from the later seasons.

Repeating what I indicated, I think you'll help a lot of fans who know all seasons feel less discomfort if you simply add in 1) your title or 2) your description a variation of -- The early years, First Half, Seasons 1 thru 4, The Judge Garth & Betsy era, My favorites.
Before I transfer comment to your gem, Please Remember, I'll get out of this with an example. Perhaps you recall a popular half-hour CBS show, "M*A*S*H." It ran 1972 - 83, longer than the long-running "The Virginian." It too had multiple, significant cast defections and additions; plus a devoted fan base, public and critics who knew of them.
No one would dare post only the first half OR the second half of "M*A*S*H"'s long, diverse run and TH-cam title its music video The M*A*S*H Gang / Tell the World. If half the series was all they'd screened, at that point of editing and that was their intent, then they would have specified the limitation in either the title or description -- preferably the title.
I devoured and thoroughly enjoyed your "Please Remember" montage. And thanked you for the joyful four and a half minutes -- as I think my wordy Comment full of specifics clearly indicates.
