It's really nice but there's a probem... Why applications like FireFox replace their own (close, minimize, restore down) buttons instead of this theme?
Enabling "use gtk theme" might solve this.
they draw their own buttons, doesn't use platform's one to have maximum control and flexibility. This is also true for all kinds of webapp, chrome, and other browser.

Hello, I had the same issue. Open Chrome Appearance settings and select "Use GTK+ Theme". That's it.

Very cool, with a 400$ desktop you can get an a computer that looks like a Mac, and works ok, i think with just 8gb ram Ubuntu should have good perfomances.

Works good for me. Only problem is my ungoogled-chromium browser doesn't have the OS X style buttons. Maybe because it's installed with flatpak. I had a normal chrome browser installed via apt and the buttons theme work for that one
Then delete chromium?
I prefer light theme but when i set the light version of the theme some apps like file manager or settings are still dark. Is there a way to fix it?

hello. after removing all the theme from my device, i cannot change file manager theme. its always stuck in macOs like theme and yellow color. is there any solution for this
I tried this today, because i was tired of Ubuntu boring desktop. Some things seems to have changed because there's no "blur my shell" or "compiz" or "quick settings" in the extension manager. Either I missed something or they're not available any more now. But anyway, most things work OK only Chrome seems to ignore the theme.
I followed the tutorial but i don't have the mac stoplight buttons at the top of my windows. How do i fix it?

Honestly, mac theme slowed down my ubuntu. Still, your detailed instructions about uninstalling the theme helped. Thanks a lot.. Did try the theme for 2 months, but due to some reasons had to remove it.
Yeah it's bit heavier. Gnome extensions slow down the user experience too.

Yes that would work too. More extensions will slow down gnome shell performance. I tried to use minimal look..

i did not install any other apps except dconf editor, My ubuntu 22.04 is looking completely identical to mac os ventura, i used dconf editor to adjust transparency of dock and top bar . thats it!

Actually everything is working perfectly fine, but I want my browser to take up entire Desktop.... as of now the dock is taking the lower part of my screen!! Any way to make the Web browser to it's full size?
At first, the functionality wasn't as expected, and I couldn't find any options for my theme in the GNOME Tweak settings. However, after I rebooted my computer, it started working as intended, and the options became visible.
Which Linux Distro you were using ?
Same issue after re starting theme are visible in tweaks but even applying light theme my files are still in black mode,

Hi man, awesome video. I am just having a minor issue. When I am trying to install quick settings tweaker, it says unsupported gnome, so is there an alternative extension to that??
That extension mentioned in the video is not working with GNOME 44+ or Gnome 43 Below. There are some alternatives, you can search with name "Quick Settings".. You can see the results.

the last part, when installing the "quick" extensions... it is saying that it is not supported for my version of gnome. Is there a way to upgrade to gnome 43 on ubuntu 22.04??
Unfortunately not for Ubuntu 22.04. Its not supported. Just use the interim releases if you want the latest and greatest gnome. It is possible you can get Ubuntu 22.10, and that will have gnome 43 out of the box (but it's not LTS if that matters to you and you'll have to update to 23.04 later, also not LTS).
Only problem in here, is the default programs stay with light-mode, and the other in dark-mode, if a change to dark-mode its inverts, but not all the programs stays in dark-mode.
Before installing this theme, its advised to enable light or dark mode from quick settings. Let's say if you are using dark mode, then use White Sur Dark.

Is there a way to overlap the dock with the application? So instead of seeing a bit of background you see the browser in full view but also the dock.
I guess there is a thing called Floating DOCK. Check out gnome extensions.
I have done all, i just cannot find the last two extentions in the browse list, QUICK SETTING TWEAKS, AND COMPIZ
YES they have to update them to make it work with latest gnome distro.

It says quick settings tweaker doesn't support it. I have ubuntu 22.04 LTS gnome 42.9. so is there any alternative? Also the ventura link says sonoma now.
