yes it is quit simple --open terminal --click on 3 dots --in dropdown menu select preferences --got to ur profile --above u can see tabs click on second tab called colors --there u will see a check box called transparent bg check it btw i am 3 weeks late mabye u already found how to do this

It is on only during the switch animation. This does not happen when using the super key to switch workspaces.

Illegitimate son? You mean a dirty three legged cat found in a dark alley. Sadly, as a Linux user myself, there are virtually no decent Linux desktop UI's anymore.
If you need to make a 17 minute video to make Ubuntu look right then it's probably a bad OS release to begin with. Since it's based on Gnome, then it's clear it will never be right since Gnome is a tablet UI, which some people find "cute" running on a traditional mouse+keyboard desktop computer.
This video is almost a clickbait. As much as I like watching another video about Linux, there are a LOT of Unnecessary steps and your own personal preferences, that are NOT a part of installing a new theme
I would not agree this is clickbait. Description is clear that it is a guide. I followed the majority of it but did not delete snaps. Its good for users that dont know how to customize, be able to learn.

--open terminal
--click on 3 dots

I installed this for free. Just open a notepad and manually type out all the commands and save them. Worked for me.
