For those curious about the opening--the Coriolis Effect only applies on large scales. On small scales like your sink drain, the water swirls however it wants--or however you want it to, or whichever way your particular sink favors. Also, that cricket match looked like an experience. They went ham with the pyrotechnics.
Tbf Twenty20 cricket isn't too bad as it can be quite exciting as they just try to smash every ball, test cricket is incredibly dull though. Any match that can last for 5 days and end up a draw isn't great hehe
After seeing a Sea World park with a backwards coaster and backwards DC Rivals hyper I am having dreams of a backwards Mako-we know it can be done after Universal and Hollwood Dream in Japan for the sheer madness. Also yep a cricket match lol. Starts explaining the rules but realises that Leg Before Wicket is almost as complicated as the infield fly rule-almost.
I understand most of the cricket rules except for the tecnhicalities. Its ok to stand in front of the stumps but cant use your leg to block them...got it
some days Leviathan is rougher then others, it may just be the different trains i’m not sure. Jet Rescue (especially the first launch) is a lot sluggish then it use to be.
My reaction when Sea World announced they were building a wooden coaster was (in my best Sir Humphrey Appleby voice) “that’s a courageous decision”. Given the comments you guys have made on its deteriorating ride, reinforces my belief that they should have build an RMC.
Wooden roller coasters on the Gold Coast where they have extreme heat and massive downpours seems a very stupid decision. An RMC would have been a far better idea, and way less maintenance costs.
2:38 Add Tonnerre 2 Zeus to that list. Great ride, great airtime but quite rough. It got rough fast after its retrack. It's also quite similar to Leviathan in a way with its backwards row and Timberliner trains.
I rode Leviathan in early Feb this year not long after you would have gone and I got a very different first impression of the coaster by riding the front row first, maybe being able to anticipate the turns made a difference to my experience of its roughness because the first ride I was in love with all the airtime and it seemed up there with DC Rivals. The second ride I was lucky enough to get on the back facing row for free and it was wild but I hurt my neck a little because I couldn’t anticipate the turns and maybe the back is also a bit rougher (I unfortunately wouldn’t know for sure what the difference was because I didn’t get any rides towards the back that weren’t facing backwards). So in the unlikely event that you’re able to ride it again I’d recommend the front because it still feels plenty wild but is much more bearable. It has two scheduled maintenances this year and I’d be interested to ride it straight after either of them to see if there’s any difference and if they’re doing any retracking. I hope Seaworld invests in some of the Gravity Group’s new pre-cut track at some point to smooth out the worst sections but if it happens at all it won’t be for a few years I’d guess. Queensland has insane heat and humidity and Leviathan is right on the beach so it unfortunately was always going to be a nightmare to maintain.
I rode tonnerre 2 Zeus at Parc Asterix backwards. Unfortunately I rode it in the first 30-45 minutes of the day so it wasn’t at its full potential but I expect leviathan to give that same feeling.
The coasters look cool, but I wonder how well Seaworld Australia take care of their animals? The animals do seem to have bigger [and slightly more natural looking] areas then the animals in other marine parks have, so I hope they're being treated well.
Hey! Just thought I should pitch in and answer this question because it's important to me that the distinction with Australia's Sea World is highlighted. Sea World actually runs their own charity that funds a wildlife rescue organisation and marine research to help protect wildlife! A significant portion of their ticket sales and income goes towards that charity. Almost all of Sea World's resident animals are rescued or the children of rescued animals, so they would not survive in the wild. I've been lucky enough to meet several of Sea World's animal carers and they could not be more passionate about ensuring that the animals are well cared-for and that their time at Sea World is used for research that helps to protect the species in the wild. Unfortunately, our Sea World faces a lot of protest and backlash because they're associated by name with the SeaWorlds that were the subject of the Blackfish documentary, but the comparison is just not fair. Aussie Sea World has been established from the very beginning with education and preservation in mind, so animal welfare and ethical practice is pretty important to them. I'd criticise them for a lot of things, but I'll always have a lot of praise for them for that! Hope this helps encourage you to make a visit to our Sea World one day!
Glad you made it to a cricket game. Have you worked out that cricket is better than baseball now? 🤣 Maybe you can start a cricket channel! The T20 World cup is in West Indies and USA this year!
@@Posirep Leviathan is smoother than Voyage. It's not GCI smooth like say GhostRider, Mystic Timbers or Texas Stingray. It runs like Prowler, aggressive and how a proper wooden coaster should run.
Voyage was technically their second go (Hades was their first). I suspect a lot of it is the work that Holiday World puts into maintaining the coaster, which seems to be above and beyond the norm.
Thanks for visiting upside-down Sea World!
Hey, good to see you in the video!
Good to see you in the video Jake!
Was awesome hanging out at Sea (space) World 🙌🏼

I also read the same thing about the coriolis. Didnt realize that til I was there
No way. It's We so Mid and Maloneys Coasters!
Hopefully they haven’t been too impacted by arrow jank. 😂. Sounds like they might prefer DC Rivals.
Hahaha if this was on the 19th of January, I was on the same Train as you on DC Rivals, riding the backwards row. Saw you as you hopped off the train!
Yep this was Jan 19
Can we get an asutralian coasters by the numbers video?
Possibly, will have to see if thats plausible
I’m an American. Jomboy introduced and explained to me how cricket works, and cricket rocks. I think it would be epic to experience it.
Watching the cricket match montage made me realize what a non-American feels like when watching American Football
Cricket makes no sense on the surface but the basics are easy to figure out

What Is That Intro 💀😂
Great video! Looked like a fun park. Nice to see you got more rides on DC Rivals. Looking forward to the next Vlog! I enjoyed watching!

BBL Cricket sounds like a Detroit rapper
152-113. Cricket like the NBA star game with its scoring???😂
Pretty much. One side scores all their points then the other team has to try and get them all back

Its a great ride but maybe if they went with GCI they wouldnt have had this problem

I keep falling for every one of your cold opens. dammit. I'm so disappointed in myself that they make me actually laugh out loud. good job man
Not gonna lie, that cricket game looked fire!
What a terrible time for me to be eating super hot Baked Potato Soup….it shot out my nose when you said “The world may never know”

Make a video called Ranking Every State's Defunct Coaster Mount Rushmore! I would love to see it!
Interesting idea for sure
It looks like a great park, Leviathan looks phenomenal
That's a damn full day!! Had to be tired at the end of that one
This is the odd ones out of the seaworld parks as it isn’t one as it has a space while the others don’t have a space in “seaworld”
No because Sea World in Australia is own by Village Roadshow.

2:56 YES MY FIRST CREDIT. IT HAS TO BE YOUR NUMBER 1
Bizarro number one
Rip the monorail
Are you sure you want to completely demolish Monorail 1?
And RIP the Sea World railway and the Sky Way. So from three people movers to none. Death by a thousand cuts.
I love dlroW aeS
“Sea world is great spend some time here, walk around”…. Goes back to Warner bros 😂
Hey i did spend time walking around, just didnt film all of it. But yeah we did have a mission to get back to WB
I figured, just the way it was edited together made me chuckle
Yes, repping the Kennywood!!
So for those of you who don’t know, a block section is a section one train may occupy-
I love how this channel always has the complete opposite opinion on everything that Coaster Studios has
Go sixers! I know who I’d be rooting for haha
Glad you made it to a cricket game. Have you worked out that cricket is better than baseball now? 🤣 Maybe you can start a cricket channel! The T20 World cup is in West Indies and USA this year!
The best thing is that my DirecTV has a cricket channel that carries the BBL so I'm gonna be happy come December
Planet coaster ahh park
I love seeing my fellow Americans traveling overseas for leisure. We need more Americans using their passports!
Sea (space) World
hell yeah
When you were at keys of the kingdom, you should have said, T3 sucks, get rid of it
There was plenty of that lol
The other Seaworld
You could have just flush the toilet 🚽 😂
Would have been a better demonstration... Maybe throw some Cheerios in to enhance the effect
The toilet was actually less demonstrative than the sink
Surprised leviathan is that shaky
Im not. Aside from the Voyage, all their other non-family coasters are rough as hell

@@Marty_NZI would agree on my first rides but this year it had deteriorated badly. A few bad jolts and just generally much rougher

I dont get how Gravity Group knocked it out of the park on their first go with the Voyage and all their other large coasters are rough as shit
Voyage was technically their second go (Hades was their first). I suspect a lot of it is the work that Holiday World puts into maintaining the coaster, which seems to be above and beyond the norm.

@@spaceemperorspar4791 They've even re-profiled parts of the track. More than once, even, with the spaghetti bowl section.
Yeah i think its a maintenance issue. Ive ridden voyage when its pretty bad, probably between refurbishments
When I rode Voyage it was unbearably rough had to tap out after 2 laps
Why do they charge to ride the ride backwards....that is weird
Its like an upcharge experience. A good way to make extra money that i bet will catch on
