Your thoughts on Big Dipper really made me more interested in the ride overall. It may be short, but that launch and restraints look awesome! Hopefully a park in the us buys a hot racer
Solid analysis. I liked Blue Fire at Europa a lot and Ride to Happiness is my #1 overall, so I suspect I would really like the back spinning car of Steel Tapian. DC Rivals has to be in my top 10 bucket list rides. I rode Tonnerre 2 Zeus in the back car going backwards (I guess they changed it just recently), so I suspect that Leviathan in that back row would be quite good.
As a person living on the east coast of America, 4-6 hour drive away from dozens of the world's best rollercoasters, holy shit I feel lucky to not be an australian thoosie lol. Massive props to Village Roadshow for giving the country a few rides worth caring about.
he did miss a few, like the gerstlauer eurofighter in perth, the maurer skyloop and vekoma suspended family coaster both at gumbuya world in victoria. plus, there are 5 new coasters coming to dreamworld and movie world this and next year
I wish i could do it,i just got back from a trip to las vegas and rode the 3 rides there 3.canyon blaster (8/10) rough 2.big apple coaster (9/10) rough but it was at my hotel 1.El loco (10/10) really good
Canyon blaster was rough in the mid 90s when I rode it, and it had just opened a few years before. I have never ridden El loco. Big apple coaster is ok. It was a little bit rough but not too bad.
Great video! I really enjoyed watching this! Itll be fun seeing some of these coasters in your top 100 at the end of the year. The title of the video makes me wonder how long it would take you to go back to Australia if you ended up back there. Id love to see a new European trip or Japan trip. Europe has a lot of interesting parks.
@@AirtimeThrills Japan would be awesome to watch! Yeah, going to a lot of the parks in Europe you haven't been to would make more since then going to Australia again for a 2nd time for now.
DC Rivals ending hills launching you to New Zealand lol. Sounds like a cheap way to visit me. My top 5 Aussie rank would be: 1. Leviathan, 2. DC Rivals, 3. Superman Escape, 4. Steel Taipan, 5. Jet Rescue. Sounds like your Jet Rescue ride was just running a bit crap.
I enjoyed hearing your rundown. I suspect Leviathan might be my favorite. I notice that whenever you discuss Big Red Boat you conspicuously avoid mentioning The Wiggles. Is this a sore spot for you? 😢 🤗
So I'm a bit conflicted on whether I should be asking this but do you think that rides are affected by the trains as I dont like the look of the gravity group trains on Levithan and it seems to be a general consensus that they are rough or is it just a case of the coasters are what they are because of overall course design? Lots of people seem to like the GCI Ghostrider/Mystic TImber type train trypes for example but I dont know how much thats a restraints only thing. Just have it in my head as a potential video idea even if im not sure if any one can quantify it because of problems like Inverted vs not inverted v flyer v Hyper train for B&M alone. It might have already be done but if it is I think it would probably have been a while back and opinions can change.
It could be the timberliners or it could just be the way GG does their track. Im leaning toward the track. Voyage doesnt use timberliners and sometimes thats crazy rough
Going to Australia next month and that’s great advice regarding loose articles! I was going to just wear my zipper shorts, but now I may just keep a small backpack… are there bins on ride platforms? (Specifically at Warner bros movie world)
The reason Australia as a whole is very strict on loose articles is because of the accident that happened on Dreamworld’s rapids in 2016, and I think some other stuff caused it too. Australia has gotten a lot stricter about amusement ride safety as a whole in the past few years. Also the whole Gravity Group roughness problem should hopefully be fixed from here on out. Bobcat at Six Flags Great Escape is opening with Pre-Cut track, and I believe all the Gravity Group Coasters going forwards will open with Pre-Cut track, at least that’s what I remember seeing, don’t quote me on this.
I like going in their summer (our winter) just to maximize the chances of everything being open, but I believe those Sydney and Gold coast parks are open year round. The train works great in Sydney to get around, you probably want to drive or use Uber to get around the gold coast, but all 3 major parks are within 15-20 mins of each other.
Gold Coast local here. Due to the parks being 365 there's usually always at least one major ride closed for maintenance. Only times you can almost guarantee everything to be open is during major holidays, so I'd say January / April / July
Interesting content. Curious on when the USA will get a backwards back row seems like an easy money maker. Also any parks in North America that could be a candidate for Mack hyper? Maybe bgt?
@@AirtimeThrills Please dont manifest this. I know Viper is super janky but I love the thing. Let them take out scream and have B &M Hyper/Giga welcome you in and run all across the parking lot and something else for Viper 10 years from now-if you have to do it.

Should only be a matter of time. I can see a small park like a fun spot doing it
when you said 16 coasters i was like damnnn… you can ride 16 coasters at one park in america 😅😮
My home park has less than half.

Fun fact about Mack Water Coasters, 3rd row left seat gets you least wet.
