- Zion Harvey was just two when he had both hands and feet amputated following a serious infection.
Now nine, he is still fighting strong after being given the world's first double hand transplant a year ago.

He is such a sweet and empathetic boy. He wasn’t even mad at the kids who said mean things because he knew that they just didn’t understand.

I have prayed for Zion for many years and will continue to pray for him.
I just love him, he is a truly special kid. He is an old soul who knows what is really important in life. I love in the video before his transplant he told his mom if his new hands "get messed up" he won't mind cause he will have his family. He was just so proud and sincere, I am so happy he is doing so well. I hope we get to see more updates on how he is doing:)

What a lovely story. It is tragic that some other family lost their child somehow but they were giving enough to give this young man a new life. A bitter sweet tale to be sure.

The way it looks they aren't. But they are 100% more functional than no hands and that's already something. He can hold things and he can write with them. They don't seem very strong and they lack some motoric skills, but what would you rather have: Somewhat clumsy, half paralyzed hands or none? And there is hope that they will get better over time.
When he gives praise to his mom and grandma, ..."Don't start tearing up". Oops.. too late. What an incredible young man. My heart is swelling with happiness for him. His mom is so proud of him, you can just feel it. What a wonderful video.🥰
Zion is a great name, this young man deserves it.
